IF YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE A WILL...
A codicil is a straightforward way of adding a legacy to your will today without having to rewrite its main provisions. A codicil form that can be used to make a pecuniary legacy to the Festival is available for download from our web site at: buxtonfestival.co.uk/support-us/legacies Although we understand that some people prefer to keep the personal decision of leaving a legacy private, we would be delighted to hear from you, if you feel able to let us know, so that we can thank you during your lifetime for your gift to future generations. If you would like to discuss in confidence any aspect of leaving a legacy, please contact the chairman of the Foundation.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE Buxton International Festival, a celebration of opera, music and literature, makes a difference to the lives of many people. With over 150 events, it is one of the UK’s largest annual arts festivals attracting visitors to the Peak District from all over the UK as well as an increasing international audience. The Festival brings to Buxton two or three operas of an international standard each year, some of which are entirely self-directed new productions, often of operas that it would be difficult to see elsewhere and this gives the Festival its distinct identity. The Festival’s impact stretches throughout the year, with a winter book weekend and numerous activities for the Friends. A year-round creative learning and outreach programme engages many people young and old in a range of arts projects which inspire and truly change lives. These projects involve diverse sections of the community, school children, people with disabilities, disadvantaged young people and older people in care. The programme also supports young artists at the start of their careers, mentoring and guiding.
It is through the Foundation and the generosity of those who have supported it, either in their life time or through legacies, that the future of the Buxton International Festival will be secured permanently for future generations. Remembering a charity in your will is straightforward and leaving something to the Festival no matter how small will really make a difference.
