Pyridoxine, also known as vitamin B₆ , is a form of vitamin B₆ found commonly in food and used as dietary supplement.Pyridoxal hydrochloride is a hydrochloride obtained by combining pyridoxal with one molar equivalent of hydrochloric acid. It has a role as an Escherichia coli metabolite, a Saccharomyces cerevisiae metabolite, a cofactor, a human metabolite and a mouse metabolite. It is a hydrochloride and a pyridinium salt.

Usual Adult Dose for Drug Induced Vitamin/Mineral Deficiency

Isoniazid induced deficiencies: 100 mg intramuscularly or intravenously once a day followed by a 30 mg maintenance dose daily

Poisoning caused by ingestion of over 10 grams of isoniazid: Give an equal amount of pyridoxine, starting with 4 grams intravenously followed by 1 gram intramuscularly every 30 minutes
