OFFERING 35 HEREFORD FEMALES FALL CALVING COWS, SPRING PAIRS, BRED HEIFERS, OPEN HEIFERS, SPRING CALVING COWS
Welcome to our 2024 Striving for Integrity Sale Volume IIV. Like most parts of the state we have lost count of the amount of rain we received throughout the month of July. Pastures look about as good as you could imagine for the end of summer. We have put up some very good hay and crops are looking great. It’s no secret that we are in some great times in the cattle industry, feeder cattle are at all time highs. Even with the uncertainty of the grain market, now is the time to add to your cow herds and take advantage of these high prices. The producers that have the inventory will be in the drivers seat. This sale is built around proven cows that have gotten the job done. If a cow makes it to 5 years old in our herd they have worked for us and will for you.
As many of you know Rachel and I are expecting kiddo number four any day. So with that we have cut back on the number of cows we are selling this fall. Our friend Adam Swigart has taken the opportunity to help fill out the sale with some of his very best. His offering is backed by proven cow families with the look for todays industry. The Edenburn family has also brought two very high quality females that are backed by great pedigrees and eye appeal.
Our set of open heifers are as deep as we have ever offered. Heifers with the look to compete, yet will most importantly make tremendous cows when in production.
As always the LF beef crew could not do what we do without the support of the entire Farm Family. Uncle Dave Lorenzen still checks in on us and we strive to hold up his high standard of hard work. Tony, Drew and Corey keep the farming side going and are always there to lend a hand when we are on the road during the summer. Tracy, Landry and Robert have had another banner year in the hog department. Most recently having 3rd overall gilt at the Illinois State Fair Junior Show.
We were honored to be named the Illinois State Fair Premier Herdsman to help top off a successful year of summer showing. Logan, Connor and Jay have done a great job in the barn all summer. We look forward to next summer with Paislee, and the boys as well as adding Danica and Chism to the show team. Having Logan back home on the farm full time has been great, his hard work and passion for the industry is unmatched. We will miss Connor some this fall as he heads off to college but we know he will be back often to help out.
As always none of this would be possible without Steve and Vick. Under Steves watchful eye our herd is as good as ever and continues to improve. We would also like to mention that Steve is running for the National Hereford Board in October. We might be little biased but we believe he would be a true asset to the Board, with his years of dedication to the breed. Thank you again for your interest in our offering we have put together. We stand behind these cattle 100% and truly believe they will work for you.
Thank you!
Adam Harms and the entire Lorenzen Farms family

Cow Power! I’m not sure what else to say about this Maker’s Mark daughter other than that she’s a power cow in the making. The Maker’s Marks are making their mark on the breed and this stout, powerful heifer’s dam goes back to the great 0104 cow from Stephens Herefords. Huge ribbed, big footed, and sound on the move, this one has all the right parts! She’ll show and then she’ll be a great cow and that’s the best kind to buy.
Looking for a show heifer? Don’t miss this late April sweetheart. Great necked, awesome lines, and sound made, this one could be special next year. A little younger, and a little greener on picture day, this one just keeps getting better. With a pedigree that includes the Hannah cow family, Victor 33Z, and the great Harvie T’Bone bull, this heifer is packed with potential. Her dam is a 10-year-old cow that just keeps kicking out good ones and who has a beautiful udder and tremendous feet and legs. Buy with confidence in the looks, the pedigree, and the longevity in this one.

The Duis Family and Swigart Herefords purchased this cow with a fall bull calf at side a year ago in the Hereford Fall Classic. The Patience cow family from the Wildcat Cattle Company program in Wisconsin needs no introduction. She has paved her way producing multiple show winners. Kim 055H is a moderate, square built, good looking cow that we invested in to make bred and owned winners for our kids. We flushed the cow successfully (12 embryos) to High Roller and the embryos were sticky so we are giving you an opportunity to own this elite donor in the prime of her life. After cycling back after the flush, we turned her out with Purple Sensation 66H (2296 x Purple Cotton 40T) and she bred right back. GE EPDs, MD & DB Free. Exposed to Purple Sensation 66H. Safe to 66H due Dec 5, 2024. Sex of the calf was unable to be determined by ultrasound.

When people come to the farm for pasture tours, this is the cow they always ask about. 4027 is very unique individual, but when you think about her being 10 years old and looking like this it is even more impressive. She is sired by C Notorious ET. This was a full sib to the bull C New Era. I had the chance to look at both of these bulls as calves and being in Illinois with the show ring in mind we purchased Notorious. He is a Nitro out of the famous C Notice Me donor. For those of you that have followed the Swigart program at all over the years, the bottom side of this pedigree is stacked with the 4 generations of breeding we have dedicated our lives to breeding cattle since 1939. SW Official is a TH Gavel back to H Beau Donald Rival 1034. Beau Donald Rival came from the Hudson Herefords in Arkansas and he was Karl’s selection to move our program forward. RJH New Dimension is on the bottom side of 4027’s pedigree which was a bull that produced growth, bone, and power with lots of milk in the daughters. Finally one of the most impressive cow lines that we have is the MGD of 4027 is SW Rockelle 9426. For those historic Hereford breeders; PR Rockford 4026 came from the Perks Ranch and was by PR Rockford back to one of the Maiden cows that Tommy Coley brought with him to Perks Ranch. The bottom side of Rockelle 9426’s pedigree was a JKS Hi Summit who was one of the most influential bulls in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. Now that I have taken you back in time; only because we are downsizing our herd at Swigart Herefords, you have the opportunity to purchase 6 females to follow that go back to this influential phenotype rockstar cow.

We love our 182F calves as they come easy with eye pigment with a dark red color. Not only that, 4227’s dam is a Brando (Lambeau x Polled Solution) that came from the Behrends Farms program.
