NJHA — CHOICE OF CHAMPIONS 1
• The National Junior Hereford Association (NJHA) and Hereford Youth Foundation of America (HYFA) continue the tradition of Lot 1, and this year is extra special as we get ready to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Junior National Hereford Expo (JNHE). The street sign draws lots of attention in the showring at the JNHE and is also on display all year at the American Hereford Association headquarters. As an added bonus to this commemorative package, the highest bidder will get their pick between the Grand Champion Polled or the Grand Champion Horned Female at the Grand Daddy of ‘Em All and the 2024 JNHE in Grand Island, Neb., July 6-12.

• Take your pick and make your mark as we embark on the Grand Drive to 25 and this anniversary celebration. Special this year, the Lot 1 buyer may choose to double down and secure their spot in the JNHE showring for two years in a row.
• Huge thanks to Barnes Herefords and Chapman Land and Cattle for purchasing the Choice of Champions package the last two years!

• We are excited to offer the right to flush, what we think is one of the most unique females to hit the breed in quite some time. 536J, better known as Coconut to those who know her, was our pick of the 2021 Fall Heifer Calves at Jensen Bros. When we saw her, we knew she was the one. We went looking for a donor prospect and left with a female that we felt could play in the show ring but had the fundamentals and EPD profile to make a huge impact as a donor cow.
• Power, performance, structural integrity, and femininity are just a few words to describe this female. Then take a look at her on paper. She is in the top 1% of the breed in 5 traits including WW, YW, and CHB. What makes her unique is her ability to have the genotype AND the phenotype. She was champion or reserve at every show we took her to.
• Bid with confidence! After you see her natural bull calf at side, we think you’ll agree, mated any way you desire, this female is just getting started. An updated picture and video will be available prior to sale day. She bred up early and calved 8/10/2023, she is open and ready to flush.

Choice of Embryos

This is a grand opportunity to acquire genetics from a leading donor whose individual adjusted marbling scan was 9.37. As we analyze 17G’s EPD credentials she is in the top 2% for CHB, top 1% for marbling, top 2% for udder, top 3% for teat and she’s in the top 25% of the breed in 10 traits. The three matings to Birdwell Bullnanza, Loewen Defiance and JW Devout combine 77 Miss Ellison with these powerful AI sires to offer huge opportunities for breed leading EPDs. Might be a good idea to get the top bid and sweep the ring on this great offering.

• The 2C donor is a proven donor at the WMC program and has proven her worth many times for WMC. Another great mating in this sale.
