NJHA — CHOICE OF CHAMPIONS 1

• The National Junior Hereford Association (NJHA) and Hereford Youth Foundation of America (HYFA) continue the tradition of Lot 1, and this year is extra special as we get ready to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Junior National Hereford Expo (JNHE). The street sign draws lots of attention in the showring at the JNHE and is also on display all year at the American Hereford Association headquarters. As an added bonus to this commemorative package, the highest bidder will get their pick between the Grand Champion Polled or the Grand Champion Horned Female at the Grand Daddy of ‘Em All and the 2024 JNHE in Grand Island, Neb., July 6-12.

• Take your pick and make your mark as we embark on the Grand Drive to 25 and this anniversary celebration. Special this year, the Lot 1 buyer may choose to double down and secure their spot in the JNHE showring for two years in a row.

• Huge thanks to Barnes Herefords and Chapman Land and Cattle for purchasing the Choice of Champions package the last two years!

Style, performance and maternal are just a few quality attributes that come to mind with this heifer — one of our favorites from our Fall calf crop!

We have loved everything produced by her dam who was a division winner in Denver in 2015.

• Added bonus, she is sired by the Lot 1 bull, a BR Genesis H059 son, from Barber Ranch’s 2021 bull sale. She’ll make a nice show prospect and a phenomenal cow!

• Another one of our favorites from our fall calves, this daughter sired by the Lot 1 bull, a BR Genesis H059 son from Barber Ranch’s 2021 bull sale, we believe she will be a challenging competitor in any show ring and will make a great addition to the pasture as a cow.

She’s a deep ribbed, stout hipped female that maintains a clean and feminine front third.

This heifer has all the right tools needed to shape the future of anyone’s program. The combination of phenotype and genomics is remarkable. When you look at her design and structure, it is truly special.

• Then look at her genomic numbers and you will see very few animals have the high level of balanced traits she has. Her dam is a leading donor at Genoa Livestock producing high end carcass quality.

• She is in the top 10% WW, YW, MILK, REA and top 1% for MARB and CHB.

• We are excited to offer the right to flush, what we think is one of the most unique females to hit the breed in quite some time. 536J, better known as Coconut to those who know her, was our pick of the 2021 Fall Heifer Calves at Jensen Bros. When we saw her, we knew she was the one. We went looking for a donor prospect and left with a female that we felt could play in the show ring but had the fundamentals and EPD profile to make a huge impact as a donor cow.

• Power, performance, structural integrity, and femininity are just a few words to describe this female. Then take a look at her on paper. She is in the top 1% of the breed in 5 traits including WW, YW, and CHB. What makes her unique is her ability to have the genotype AND the phenotype. She was champion or reserve at every show we took her to.

• Bid with confidence! After you see her natural bull calf at side, we think you’ll agree, mated any way you desire, this female is just getting started. An updated picture and video will be available prior to sale day. She bred up early and calved 8/10/2023, she is open and ready to flush.

Brumley Farms guarantees six (6) embryos, anything over ten (10) embryos to be split between buyer and seller. Brumley Farms will guarantee one 90-day pregnancy if implanted by a certified embryologist. Don,

Choice of Embryos

This is a grand opportunity to acquire genetics from a leading donor whose individual adjusted marbling scan was 9.37. As we analyze 17G’s EPD credentials she is in the top 2% for CHB, top 1% for marbling, top 2% for udder, top 3% for teat and she’s in the top 25% of the breed in 10 traits. The three matings to Birdwell Bullnanza, Loewen Defiance and JW Devout combine 77 Miss Ellison with these powerful AI sires to offer huge opportunities for breed leading EPDs. Might be a good idea to get the top bid and sweep the ring on this great offering.

• The dam of these embryos was the top selling cow at the recent Foundation’s For The Future ’23 sale to Langley Farms for $15,000. The sire was the top selling bull this past spring at the Bar JZ sale for $61,000 to GENEX and Hoffman Ranch. Here is an opportunity to have some of the first offspring of On Demand. The resulting calves should have low birth with exceptional growth.

• 0227 has a tremendous udder with excellent milk flow and mated to On Demand should provide top quality future donor prospects! Don’t miss this chance to be in on the ground floor!

• Guaranteeing 1 pregnancy if implanted by a certified embryologist. Embryos are stored at Trans Ova Genetics in Boonesville, MD. Buyer is responsible for shipping.

• Travis, Jett and Watson did not hold back on this consignment. Travis tried hard to own the Generator bull that ended up in the ABS stud and so he is flushing some of his great donors to him. For those that have seen Generator live — he is a wide bodied, stout, big footed son of Genesis.

• The 2C donor is a proven donor at the WMC program and has proven her worth many times for WMC. Another great mating in this sale.
