On behalf of the Nebraska Hereford Association, it is with great excitement to welcome you back to Kearney for the 37th annual Cornhusker Classic Sale. Hereford breeders from across the cornhusker state have come together to offer a set deep with quality from top to bottom of heifer and steer prospects.

The work has been done folks. Many individuals in the offering come with an established show career or are ready to kick it off this weekend here in Kearney. Buy on Friday and show in the same location over the weekend at the NCC Fall Edition. Then, bring your purchase back to Kearney in June to the 2023

All cattle sell under the standard terms and conditions reccomended by the American Hereford Association. All animals will sell to the highest bidder. Announcements made from the block will take precedence over printed material associated with the sale. Any disputes or challenges regarding bidding will be settled by the auctioneer and his decision will be final. Terms of the sale are cash or good check payable immediately upon the conclusion of the sale and before the animals will be moved. Registration papers will be transferred upon completion of payment for purchases by the seller.

Futurity show eligibility

All cattle purchased at the 2022 Cornhusker Classic Sale and 2023 NCC Winter Edition by juniors are exclusively eligible to enter the NHA Futurity Show held during the Nebraska State Hereford show, June 2-4 in Kearney, NE. Entry fee of $25 must be completed upon purchase. Payout of $1,000 to champion and $600 to reserve.

This 2504 Heifer was one I was going to keep in the replacement pen, but decided last minute to offer her on here. This girl come of grass hard and was very green. I put her on some feed and she is coming along. This mating I have been waiting on all year to see how it would turn out. UPS Sensation 2504 has done wonders in our program producing the Champion Nebraska Hereford Association Futurity Steer in 2019. Rose's dam is nothing to shy from herself she had decent show career, and is a breeding piece herself out of Worrell’s Rose Maire cow by R Leader. This girl is big bellied, correct as they come and cool fronted, one you want to watch for in the show ring and in the pasture.

This heifer has already seen the lights of town being shown at the county fair. A long-sided heifer with an extended front end. I purchased her dam right here at the Cornhusker Classic Sale two years ago and crossed her with Perfecto. Perfecto calves are hitting the show ring with great success, but I am excited to see what they will do in the pasture as mommas.
