Welcome to the Inaugural Traits of Merit Bull Sale for Waggoner Cattle Company
Joe Waggoner and the Waggoner Cattle Company program is built upon foundation genetics from some of the stalwarts in the Hereford business across the country. For over 40 years Waggoner Cattle Co. has practiced comprehensive data collection in all facets of beef cattle performance, and they built that protocol into the foundation of the cow herd as it exists today. The bulls featured here represent years of focus emphasizing calving ease, growth, maternal traits and high end-product qualities featuring breed leading carcass weight, ribeye and marbling data.
Sired by some of the top performance bulls the Hereford breed has to offer such as Merit, Nevada, among others, the genetics in this offering rank in the upper echelons of the breed for all the major economically traits relevant to the beef industry in 2025. These age advantaged bulls are ready for immediate turnout.
As the US cowherd inventory continues to slowly rebuild itself, the maternal cross and Hereford sired Black Baldy females continues to be one of the most sought after commodities. This coupled with the major focus Waggoner Cattle Co. has had on end product & carcass merit will yield Baldy cattle designed to thrive in today’s beef industry.
I want to thank Kaiser Angus for their hospitality, and their integral involvement in hosting this Hereford Sale. If at any time you have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.

Welcome to Kaier Angus 25th Annual Production Sale. We appreciate every customer who has supported our program over the last 25 years. As time passes quickly, we are fortunate to bring our family back into the farm and ranching operation. They will be the future force and face in our progress moving forward.
Current cattle prices have rewarded producers with very nice premiums in the cow/calf sector. Now more than ever is the importance of choosing the best genetics to keep the cow herd trajectory headed towards the best product we can produce.
Kaiser Angus is excited to add two unique products to our production sale. We have the opportunity to offer an elite set of PAP tested yearling bulls from Hidden Valley Ranch. They have been pulmonary tested at 5800 feet. These bulls will be suitable to run at altitudes for our customers of higher elevation. We also welcome Waggoneer Herefords as an outcross option for our customers. Both Angus and Hereford bulls selling will provide a nice choice of leading genetics in each breed.
On behalf of all of us at Kaiser Angus I would like to thank you and invite you to join us on Thurdsay, April 3rd for our 25th Production Sale.
Sincerely,
Darrell Kaiser Family

BREEDING GUARANTEE
All bulls sold through the sale are guaranteed to be satisfactory breeders for the first breeding following the sale. A breeding season is defined as the 90 day period following the first turnout of the bull.
All bulls have been given a breeding soundness exam by Dr. Paige Grothusen, Butterfield Trail Veterinary Service. Breeding soundness exam includes general physical examination, examination of the testes and measurement of scrotal circumference, genital tract examination, collection and analysis of semen samples. Actual scrotal circumference was taken February 23, 2025. If there is a reproductive problem, please contact us immediately and a replacement bull will be provided if available, or a credit equal to the animal’s purchase price, minus salvage value, will be issued for the replacement of one animal. This guarantee does not cover illness or death of the animal.
BULL DEVELOPMENT
Fall bulls are weaned mid to late April. We background them for 60 days to assure herd health. Then they are turned out on native grass until early November to let them grow in their natural environment. From November until sale day the bulls are on a high roughage diet to condition them for breeding longevity.
