Racism,oftenusedasatriggerwordinthemedia,hascometotheforefrontofsocietyrecently.Itis nearlyimpossibletowatchthenewswithoutseeingreportsofpoliceofficerskillingunarmedblack citizensorhearingadebateabouttheappropriatechoiceinregardstoallowingrefugeesinto Americanborders.Thoughtheseprejudicedandbigotedideashaveexistedsincetheriseof humanity,manypeoplebelieveracismtobesomethingfoundonlyintheshadowydregsofmodern society.Racialtensionisthemoststrainedithasbeenindecades.Withracismregainingthe spotlight,peopleopenlyexpresstheirhatefulrhetoric.Asasocialworker,Iwouldstrugglemost interactingwithcommunitiesthatspokeandactedopenlyagainstotherraces,suchasmembersof whitesupremacistpopulations.
