The Blue Dolphins

Island of the blue dolphins begins with a young responsible girl named Karana. She lives on an island with only her brother because her other people left. Karana goes out to hunt one day and tells her brother to stay out of danger. Karana comes back with food for her and her brother, and when she gets back, her brother is dead. The wolves were sitting right there, right in front of her eyes. Karana stares into the wolf eyes and suddenly they run away, frightened and feeling dangered. Karana learns to live alone and meets the dog that attacked her brother, the dog was wounded, lying there half dead.
