Capitalism, according to Marx (1894,1848) is a mode of production characterized by private ownership of productions with people forced into class groups. Capitalists are the proprietors, while the laborers[ non-capitalists] are exploited for financial gain. Marxist perspectives stated their beliefs, ideas, and values, motivate individuals which are influenced by the structurally defined conditions of life. We can locate this perspective in the Sociological paradigm, as society has shifted from an Agrarian to a market economy. This means individuals in this society shifted from self-employed producers of their goods to laborers and consumers of the elite and state. This shift also leads both sides into the Criminological realm whether it is blue or white collar crime, theft, robbery, assault,etc. The proletarians are generating profits for the elite, while the elitists are making the profit off their labor, and the purchases of the same goods they produce [e.g. in auto, food, or chemical factory]. Individuals are being told by advertisements that their societal worth and place will be based on the acquisition of material objects, which entertains the idea of criminality to attain these worldly possessions. This transformation of societies established a new culture, one of mass consumption, which is now more evident in 2021. Conflict theorists believed the state is controlled by an upper class and state power is an extension of the institution’s force. A Fundamental element of conflict theory is that inequality is a fragile state and must be controlled by force. Functionalism theory, on the other hand, appeals for people to have autonomy, so they can earn all their achievements, with no specificity as a barrier, and success falls under the umbrella of universalism. (Feinberg et al., 2009). The control that is alluded to in Marxist theory demands to be reduced and policies modified by decision-makers, for the Functionalist system [theory] to be effective/applicable. residents with solely a high school education; dictatorship [ under past leader Chavez, many would exclaim]. When the [an] organization [government] removes or reduces the red-tapes or control that is placed on the establishment [education facilities], then, maybe then, young and adult learners will have more educational opportunities open up, leading to employment possibilities. In modern society, conflicts between the upper and lower classes can be found visible in social organizations and Institutions. Such as schools, universities, and the workplace, healthcare, and the criminal justice system. Neo-Marxist has a more realistic approach and the notion that history knows and will continue to produce & usher in an unfamiliar economic order time and time over. Whilst another Marxist criminologist may consider that an overturning of the ongoing capitalist mode of America or Britain is the solution. Marxist theorists, which according to Feinberg and Soltis (2019), stated that society is split into the Haves [landlords, capitalists, and financiers] and the Have-Nots [the employees, tenants, etc.]. The class differences have given the haves’ economically, politically and as this subject; is concerned legal power.
Capitalist societies use these powers to create injustice and inequality within the Have Nots. American, British and European society has shifted from an Agrarian to a market economy. Generating exploitative and oppressive effects on education and opportunities, that result from having a basic high school education. There are 54Million adults in America lacking a college degree, and 34 million of those have no college education at all (Pusser et al., 2007). So there are numerous aspects of life, including effects on one’s social and economic status, if an individual lacks or has limited education. One must understand that it is hard to get a decent paying job, without some higher education; if it is on-job training, the individual is nevertheless being educated and trained to do the job.

This learning not only advances their job title and wages but also intensifies the life of their family and their surroundings. Even the community will benefit, as now he is investing capital into local shops, generating and returning money into local revenues. Conflict theorists place considerable emphasis on economic power as a podium to manage the enforcement branch of the state. It was further identified that Social control is more found in unequal societies. Capitalists are the owners, while the workers [ non-owners] are exploited by the capitalist for financial gain. All this is accomplished by workers while returning their wages to the owners for the purchase of the same goods they produce. Bonger’s definition of capitalism is explained as the extent to which an economy “is based upon exchange” with the sole purpose of making a profit. We highlighted the capitalist deprived and created impoverished persons along the way, which not only impacts themselves but those around them. Poverty and inequality are connected to a socially disorganized neighborhood and can be traced back to the capitalist economic system. Henceforth, the inequalities within the education system itself [we are not even going to mention the colour differences regarding education]; will arise and contribute to the formation of a criminogenic subculture. This occurrence will be and is due to lack of and/or insufficient education, thereby hindering the individual’s potential opportunities.
