Who is Lyrical Boss? LYRICAL BOSS or LYRICAL Zi BOSS.
Introduction Lyrical Boss, or Lyrical Zi Boss was established in 1995. St Thomas is his native home. No amatuer to the entertainment world, he has been performing since he was in Primary school all through high school and beyond. Circumstances grounded young Furnace, as he was known at that time, Hiatus and recouping took place, that allowed him to name himself exactly what he is, the BOSS of LYRICS- Lyrical Boss. The young artist is a word connoisseur, manipulator of the English language and his native Patois/Patwa/Creole.

Struggle has been the cornerstone and motivation of this young man’s career. When he was 9 years old, his younger brother was kidnapped and murdered. This trauma still haunts Christoper today. This haunting transcends and projects in the artist we know as Lyrical Boss/Lyrical Zi Boss. The song ‘C.J’ is a homage, a remembrance, a story, a narrative, an emotional expression, a diary and a future prediction. When you listen to this song, without knowing the background, you will be touched. That is what great music is supposed to do, hit nerves,heighten senses, invoke emotions and release memories, sometimes the ones we lock away & even forget.

Lyrical Boss you say huh? Who is he?
Born, Bred, Raised and Residing in St Thomas, Lyrical is a true native of the first parish. The mannerism carries that of confidence, not to be misconstrued for conceit. The welcoming spirit of the individual, similar to that of the ‘forgotten parish’. The writer wants to further place and personify St Thomas on the map. The way the parish is being revitalized and gentrified, there are different music lovers migrating to and from the parish, whether it be overseas or another parish. The writer and artist's first official interview was on the Fun Factory radio show on Newstalk93fm in June 2021. The segment was ‘Hardcore Thursday’ or ‘Entertainment Thursday’, where the hosts and show focuses on upcoming artists, writers and producers.

The hosts of Fun Factory Radio show are: Miss Mona, DJ Insaneo and Prynce Blade. The artist alongside members of the Speak Easy Slicer Records and Production Management were also present at the studio. Dj Insaneo informed AND reiterated to the Writer, Artist and Philanthropist, who is established in his own rights and to many from his side of the world[St Thomas]. However, to many he is the ‘new and upcoming artist’ to others. The disc jockey Insaneo stated that ‘he is an inspiration’ to the artist who ‘already buss an out deh’ , as well as the ones who are upcoming. “You can be a motivational speaker”, the Lyrical Boss was told. This interview, amongst a lot of work and networking, opened up many more doors for the artist, he was featured and had a commercial for the radio station Stylz FM. The artist's music is continuously being played in the radio station bases of Jamaica and Philadelphia.

The artist also has appearances with that docuseries, which will be aired on Hype TV, EPlus, and at the time of this article being written, they were in talks with British, Canadian and
American networks.
Lyrical Zi Boss, main producer and engineer at this moment is Deano Dean Productions, based in St Thomas. These two working together is further enhancing that East Coast musical's rich history. Friends for Real studio has had the artist voiced a record there, Yaadiz Production, to name a few, has had the privilege of working with the writer and artist, and the artist humbly gives his gratitudes.

A recent November 2021 collaboration with American producer and Record label Jahgawar Records. A two song agreement for ‘Tell Mi Weh Yuh Need’ is made. This song is a a two part song. The first portion is out now and available on all streaming networks. Part 2 is set to be released in 2022.

The catchphrase being known, used and repeated, will mean the artist has reached the pinnacle he is aiming to reach by the grace of GOD.

The artist also has the Jamaica Wine & Champagne Festival of 2022. The year of 2022 looks rather promising for the artist, his presence will be required at Casual Supplies Ltd annual fundraising event. Jamaican Entrepreneurs Magazine’s Award show to perform, never know, he may be a nominee by that time. The ComcariRum Festival will also be on board. He is in talks to be one of the ambassadors for Jamaica’s Newest rum Triple X [XXX] Jamaica rum. Trelawny Stylz FM Jamaica and International Foundations. Fun Factory Radio show reunion. Plus all other shows, events, ambassadorship and sponsorship that will come in the future, the artist claims it and accepts the blessings from GOD.
Raised in a church background, with his grandfather being a bishop, gospel, conscious and less profane songs were played in his upbringing. Naturally his peers, school and environment influenced his musical styles. The missing young girl from St Thomas that occured in the October/November of 2021, rang bells and pain in the heart of Christopher ‘Lyrical Boss/Lyrical Zi Boss’. This story was reminiscent of his brother who got kidnapped and killed in 2009. A heartfelt song called ‘BAWL/CRY’ was penned, as this seem to be the only to release the pain and tears of his memory, was to make the pen cry for him.

It did not deter him from making ‘clean music’, healthy music, encouraging music,. That fed up music, speak to your soul music, say what you couldn’t say or express music. Do not misunderstand, he has songs with sexual inuedos and phrases. Yes, there are songs with one or two profanity words. However from the 15 songs we have listened to, only 3 used a combination of profanity and sexual tones. In this day and age, that's rare. The 3 songs actually don’t even use harsh profane words. No derogatory terms that are out of context, towards females or males are mentioned in his songs and writings.
The remainder were all eargasms to lovers of music from all genres, generations, countries, ages and preferences. Lyrical Zi Boss has a song for you all.
