VIRGIN ISLANDS No. 14 of 2012
An Act to provide for the appropriation of sums of money for and towards defraying the charges and expenses for the services of the Government of the Virgin Islands for the year ending on the thirty-first day of December, 2013. [Gazetted 31st December, 2012] ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands as follows: Short title and commencement.
1. This Act may be cited as the Appropriation (2013) Act, 2012 and shall come into force on the 1st day of January, 2013.
Appropriation: Recurrent Estimates.
2. There is hereby granted to Her Majesty the Queen, Her heirs and successors, for and towards defraying the several charges and expenses for the recurrent services of the Government of the Virgin Islands for the year ending on the thirty-first day of December, 2013, the sum of two hundred and ninety-eight million, seven hundred and twenty-nine thousand dollars ($298,729,000), to be applied and expended for the services and purposes set out in Schedule 1.

3. There is hereby granted to Her Majesty the Queen, Her heirs and successors, for and towards defraying the several charges and expenses of the Government of the Virgin Islands for the year ending on the thirty-first day of December, 2013, the sum of twenty-one million, four hundred and thirty thousand, eight hundred dollars ($21,430,800), to be applied and expended for the services and purposes set out in Schedule 3.

4. The sum of two hundred and ninety-eight million, seven hundred and twenty-nine thousand dollars ($298,729,000) authorised under section 2, which includes the sum of thirty one million, two hundred and ninety thousand dollars ($31,290,000), in respect of the amounts payable by law as set out in Schedule 2 is declared to be chargeable upon and made payable out of the Consolidated Fund and the Debt Service Fund of the Virgin Islands.

5. The sum of twenty-one million, four hundred and thirty thousand, eight hundred dollars ($21,430,800), in respect of the expenditure authorised under section 3 is hereby declared to be chargeable upon and made payable out of the Development Fund of the Virgin Islands.

6. The Accountant General is hereby authorised and required to pay upon the authority of a Warrant signed by the Minister during the financial year beginning on the first day of January, 2013 and ending on the thirty-first day of December, 2013, the several sums appropriated by and included in Schedules 1, 2 and 3, out of the Consolidated Fund, the Development Fund, or any combination of these Funds of the Virgin Islands as the Warrant shall direct, without further order or formality.
