Please indicate at registration if you require a wheelchair spot on the bus or have any special needs. Registration is taken on a first-come, first-served basis, when accompanied with payment. If a trip is full, we strongly encourage you to put your name on the waitlist. Many times there are cancellations, additional tickets may be acquired, or an additional date may be scheduled. If the deadline has passed, please call to check for availability. We encourage participants to bring their own re-usable water bottle in an effort to support our environment.
TRIPS
Illumination at the Morton Arboretum Join us for an evening of beautiful Christmas lights all aglow at the Morton Arboretum. This year the Illumination event at the Morton Arboretum is going to be a drive-thru experience. We will be able to enjoy the lights from the comfort of our brand new bus. A small snack will be provided, but participants should eat dinner before the event. Register by 12/22. Min 10 | Max 15 (TG)
Clay Space This trip is going to be stretching your artistic muscles. During our visit to the clay space we are going to be getting our hands dirty and making our own clay creations. The work stations will either require standing or there will be tall stools available. After we finish our creation we will be enjoying a late breakfast/early lunch at the Morningside Cafe. Glass Blowing Demo This is our first of two trips to Pete Peterson’s Glass Studio. For our first visit we will be getting a tour and full glass blowing demonstration. Four Winds Casino Shuttle We are Back Baby! The Four Winds Casino shuttle service is back and the BPD is booked. The shuttle package gives each person $15 for slot play and $10 for food ( the buffet is closed). We will be arriving in style on a roomy coach bus only filled to half capacity. Register by 02/09. Do It Yourself Glass Blowing Experience Our second of two visits to Pete Peterson’s Glass Studio will give you the opportunity to get hands on with glass blowing. Crochet Catch-All Basket This is a beginner project for those who already know the chain stitch. It’s an easy project for people trying to learn crocheting in the round. The little basket is handy on a vanity, desk, or nightstand to hold a variety of items. The prerequisite to this class is to already know the chain stitch. Pick up a supply list upon registration. Register by 01/11. Min 2 | Max 8 (TG) Crochet Shawl | Intermediate Level This is an easy pattern and one that works up quite quickly. It has a lacy edging of which you will have directions, as well as be able to follow a chart. Using striping yarn makes this interesting! This will keep the chill away when in air conditioning, or on chilly days to come! This shawl will fit all and you will learn that you can alter your yarn with this too.
