San Antonio, Tx --- September 20-22nd After a one-year absence from an in-person BWI EXPO, I am thrilled and excited that we will have the opportunity to host an in-person event this year. The past 15 months have been a great challenge balancing safety and still carrying on with business. Please know we will follow all Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines to ensure everyone is as safe as possible in San Antonio. While we look forward to seeing everyone in person this year, we also have our virtual EXPO throughout August and September for those unable to attend in person. BWI’s goal is to accommodate our customer’s needs and be easy to do business with.

BWI’s team has worked hard this year to ensure this year’s EXPO is the best! We have expanded our super savings opportunities like Hot Buys, Bulk Buys, Pallet Alley, and of course, cash back with BWI’s Bonus Bucks!

If you registered for the 2021 BWI EXPO at bwiexpo.com, visit the check-in area in the convention center main lobby. Check yourself in using any one of our 14 self-service kiosks. Search by name, company, or email. Once checked-in, your name badge and labels will be printed on-demand. Grab a complimentary BWI bag with show information and off you go! If you did not register online, there will be a separate registration booth available for you. We will also be happy to answer any questions you might have.

BREAKFAST & LUNCH Leisurely enjoy a continental style breakfast buffet compliments of BWI. The buffet will be available from 8:00 am to 9:00 am on Tuesday and Wednesday.

As you tour the EXPO floor and begin to feel hungry, remember a buffet lunch will be provided for you. Know Before You Go PRE EXPO INFORMATION Do I have to attend the BWI EXPO to receive EXPO specials?

Yes, customers must be present at the BWI EXPO to receive EXPO Specials, Show Terms, Hot Buys, EZ Street, Bulk Buys, Pallet Alley Pricing, and Bonus Buck Reward Incentives.

How do I arrange transportation from the airport to the hotel?

San Antonio’s airport is only 8.5 miles from the downtown business district -- about a 15-minute drive. There are a variety of ground transportation options between San Antonio International Airport and downtown.

• Taxi • Ride Share (Uber, Lyft, Wingz) • SuperShuttle Ground transportation is located curbside in front of Terminal A and B baggage claim area. Uniformed transportation agents (wearing red shirts) can describe services and provide estimated rates to various destinations.

What is Pallet Alley? What are Bulk Buys?

We’ve done the work and added the savings for you! One of the most popular areas of the EXPO is Pallet Alley. Here you will find different choices of ready-made retail displays or pallet buys of products for retail markets.

Bulk Buys is another chance to save big on some of our top commercial and professional products. It is not just a convenient way to purchase, it’s a smart way to save.

Where can I find a list of Pallet Alley and Bulk Buys specials?

Please visit the Pallet Alley and Bulk Buys areas of the EXPO floor for a complete list of items. A list of items can also be found in this issue of Buylines and on the BWI mobile app.

What is EZ Street?

We are offering products in displays and merchandisers for vendors who do not have a booth at the EXPO. The offerings represent great opportunities with discounts and incentives for timely sales and promotions. It is an easy, no hassle stroll to shop the offerings.

Where can I find a new product listing?

You can find a new product listing in this issue of Buylines.

ORDERING AND CHECKOUT How do I place an order?

You place an order using your buyer number that is printed on your name badge provided to you at checkin. You will provide this number to the booth attendant to place your order. Even though BWI has an electronic ordering process, select orders will be collected on paper using the buyer labels. These labels provide us with the necessary information to process your order. Additional buyer labels can be printed at the information booth.

What are the shipping parameters?

We offer three choices of ship dates; 12/1/2021, 1/15/2022, and 2/15/2022. Choose one of these dates when placing your order. Do not worry if you need to change a ship date. Your BWI representative can adjust the ship date when reviewing your orders with you after the EXPO. What are the terms on orders?

Payment terms are due net 60 days or due May 1, 2022 depending on the program (available to accounts in good standing).

Where can I obtain a copy of my order?

BWI suggests you review your orders before check-out.

Several kiosks are available on the EXPO show floor.

Look for the “Print and Review Orders” signs to locate the kiosks. Order confirmations can be emailed upon request at check-out.

Where do I check-out, collect Cash Spiffs, and Bonus Bucks rewards?

Before checking out, visit one of the “Print and Review Orders” kiosks on the EXPO show floor to print a copy of your order and review for accuracy. If you need to make changes, please visit the information booth for help. Once your orders are final, proceed to the Bonus Bucks booth located in the back/middle of the EXPO show floor, present your buyer number(s), and collect your Bonus Bucks.

You can choose to take your Bonus Bucks with you, have them shipped to you, or applied as credit on account.

How do I qualify for EXPO prizes?

To qualify for EXPO prizes, you must purchase from at least 10 exhibitors or have total purchases equaling $50,000.00 or more by drawing time. Several prizes will be drawn Tuesday afternoon from 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM with the final drawing for the Kubota tractor (with a loader, cutter, and trailer) at 10:30 AM on Wednesday.

You do not have to be present to win. In addition to the BWI prizes, many participating exhibitors offer drawings at the show. Be on the lookout for these opportunities.

Scours vaccine should be given 3 months prior to calving, followed by a booster dose 3-6 weeks later.

This is far enough before calving to minimize the stress and possible effects from handling cattle near calving time. For subsequent calving, revaccinate with a single dose 5-7 weeks before calving.

For calves 1 to 3 months of age, this is a crucial time to make management decisions on whether these calves will be retained for breeding or headed off to market. Respiratory and clostridial vaccines are administered during this time period.

Branding – If giving a tetanus vaccine when castrating or banding bull calves, two doses are required prior to banding or castration procedure.

Pre-weaning – Vaccinate calves at 14 to 21 days prior to weaning.

Avoid the stressful weaning period to ensure a better immune response and develop immunity to respiratory diseases prior to weaning when the risk is highest.
