It all started in 1953 with Johann Kinigadner’s first motorcycle race. An Austrian man with a love of riding motorcycles, who passes the passion on to his three sons. All become professional motorcycle riders – this is the beginning of a success story! Johann Jr. goes on to become one of Austria‘s best motocross riders, Klaus is ranked among the world leaders of Supermoto riders, but Heinz is the most successful of the three brothers. Two-time Motocross World Champion, numerous rally successes, Heinz is a legend of motorcycle racing. The story of the Kinis continues into the next generation, and Heinz‘s son Hannes also gets Motocross fever. However, on July 26 of 2003 there was a tragic turning point. Hannes suffered a bad fall in a motocross race and is now paralyzed from the neck down. Since then Heinz has, together with his close friend and founder of Red Bull Dietrich Mateschitz, been searching for a cure to spinal cord injuries. They set up the research foundation Wings for Life, whose goal is helping those suffering from paralysis, so that one day they can get out of their chairs for good. The KINI Line was the next step – a riding-gear evolution; what was once reserved for only the Kinis and their team, has successfully become available to all. The products of KINI Line carry the history and experience of the motorcycling Kinigadner family. The invaluable know-how of three generations, and pure passion are found in the KINI Line worldwide. Sales from the KINI Line also fund the Wings for Life Foundation, and you will find the Wings for Life logo on all the products of the family-owned company.
