Built Not Bought Magazine was founded in November 2012. It started with a small team of like-minded individuals with the feeling that there needed to be a magazine that zeroed in on home-built cars and the car culture. The cars, the music, the art, and the people are what really feed this publication. We're still in our infancy as a publication as we continue to find our niche, but we're constantly looking for new ways to expand our audience and get more people involved. The magazine is really about the community of readers who support it, and without our readers we wouldn't have the opportunity to make it this far. Our mission as a publication is to bring you content that is both unique and different, far from mainstream, and to support our readers and the car culture community as much as possible.
