Summary of Past Achievements and contributions during the various management positions: • Responsible for implementation of a comprehensive risk management strategy when managing the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) which enabled BMTA to reposition itself from accumulated financial loss organization to a financial self-reliance organization. • Able to improve bus route and the management of bus transit system by enhancing air-condition bus and express bus services. This improvement not only improved service provisions to the public but also resulted in the financial gain of the BMTA. • Encourage and supported creation and expansion of export processing zone and Halal industrial estate which has continuously attracted foreign investment from USA, Europe and Asia. Expansion of Halal products exports has helped Thailand to sustain its economic growth. • Responsible for the management, long-term planning and policy of Thailand’s air transportation as well as the National Carrier state enterprise. Able to open up new air routes such as Russia and many new cities in India. The efficient long term planning and policy has helped tourism to maintain sustainable growth and has helped bringing in approximately over 15 millions tourists to Thailand per year which also contributes significantly in terms of Gross Domestic Products (GDP). • Helped develop Thailand’s most important commercial deep sea port, Laem chabang. Even at present, Laem Chabang can accommodate the steady and rapid increase of Thailand international seaborne trade.
Presently, I am responsible as Secretary General to the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand, managing this organization to serve the Islamic community both domestic and global in all aspects of the religious, social and economic affairs. • Encourage growth of productions and consumptions of Halal food, which at present amounting to over 2500 companies and 45000 products withholding Halal standard certification. • Promoting International food safety standard to ensure food safety and confidence of Halal standard to Halal consumers. • Able to join investment with a world class company in setting up a standard laboratory testing, thus elevating the processing of food laboratory testing to the highest standard of quality and modernity in South East Asia. • Integrate the process of International food safety standard certification with the process of Halal certification seamlessly to encourage growth of Halal productions. • Implement Corporate Social Responsibility plan to protect rights and provide assurance under guidance of Islamic principle to Halal consumers both local and international. • Set up a concrete policy to support Islamic youth secular education.
