FROMTHE EDITOR/ Welcome to our New and Upgraded issue of Beyond Your Frame Magazine. I’ve been working a diligently to bring a little something new to the way you look at our Magazine. In this issue we have New and Aspiring models, both Male and Female. we also have our new section called “The ART Form/”. Diana moved from Haiti with her mother at the age of nine. The adaption to a whole new world, to learn a new language and to assimilate into a new culture full of strangers was beyond challenging. Yet, Diana insists that everything she’s endured has only strengthened her determination to succeed and in the process revealed her life’s purpose and artistic talents. Fashion, modeling and art helped her with the transition into a new world. Fashion became her obsession, her clothes and her natural style, the canvas. Mixing color, patterns and styles being in-front in front of the camera and on the runway became a part of her daily life. She learned to express her emotions through art, fashion and also being a model. Diana is a performance artist that is destined to succeed.

urban fashion/ It’s been about a year since I met Designer Junie June, his amazing personality and eye for detail blew me away. He told me in that first meeting he had a vision for a piece he created and he felt my curves would fit in it nicely. I smile and we exchanged information to meet at a later date. Several months passed and our schedules could never mesh so I can do sa final fitting. Finally one summer day I was able to come to his home studio and fit the catsuit he created. He had also created custom made boots to accompany the piece, the detail was breathtaking. Several weeks had passed since the final fitting and I received a call from photographer El Anderson whom I was familiar with from Mr. Don’s NYC Shoot-a-Thon. Ms. El had taken the most beautiful photos of me in Nike Athletic wear and captured my eyes in a way I had never seen before, you see I have very dark brown eyes. Naturally I was excited to be shooting with her in Designers Junie June gold catsuit. Photographer El Anderson has a way of making you feel nature, beautiful and comfortable, letting the model express her inner beauty. 8

We met on a beautiful sunny day by Far Rockaway Beach, the boardwalk was not crowded and the sky was a clear blue. As I prepped my makeup and put on the piece Ms. El had another vision see what most people don’t know about me is I have a funny, comedic side to me and I am a Syfy science nerd. I enjoy history and learning and pursuing further education. My favorite channel is the History Channel and often watch shows like Ancient Discoveries, Forgotten History and Ancient Aliens to name a few. I conversation that day she learned I was a dancer, gymnast and cheerleader growing up and currently do Yoga and Pilates to keep my hourglass shape. Her vision was to demonstrate my flexibility and create a feel of an alien landing on the beach of this new world, to show me in a different light than the normal editorial shoot and to show off the beautiful piece fabric, strength, durability and comfort. I am humbled and honored to showcase this amazing creation by Designer Junie June and vision of Photographer El Anderson the pages to follow.

Beautiful Latin Lady Now as a Plus size/FIT model, I am pushing the envelope and expanding the minds of society to feature a plus size model in areas and concepts where otherwise were not considered. I enjoy doing fundraisers for Pediatric Cancer Awareness, as my daughter is a cancer survivor. I also enjoy the responses of young ladies world wide to my “Love the Skin You’re In!” photos and inspire young ladies to be healthy and embrace their curves at any size and any age. I have been honored to be the Brand Model for designers as NYDJ Jeans, THEIA Couture, Kapy Bash Mode, Burning Guitars, Barefoot Daughters, ChubbiLine, OG Butter and others. My writings have been published in several notable fashion magazines and also under a pen name on several online outlets. I have appeared in several movies and TV series, Most recently Lady Gaga music tribute out in April and the movie Clinton Road with Ice Tea and Eric Roberts out end of 2018. In 2017 I appeared in 27 fashion and pin-up magazines and was a Presentation Model for Philip Plein Guns and Roses fashion show. I work with Mixx Society foundation and do empowerment talk in homeless shelter and Girls & Boys clubs all over the 5 boroughs. I have worked with designers Michael Costello, Christian Soriano, Josefina Moet of Paris, Steve Madden Shoes just to name a few. In 2016 I appeared in over 10 fashion magazine and over 100 fashion shows to include Mercedes-Benz, Walk Fashion Art Basel in Miami, ASC productions, Celebrity’s Closet, NYFW Sept 2016, World Fashion Parade, and the United Nations Fashion showcase for the Queen of Nigeria and several other Royal Delegates. My name is entered in The Book of United Nations and in The Library of Congress for my participation in Humanitarian Efforts and World Peace and Panel participation on women and body image around the world. Carlos Dwayne Barrett Jr., who goes by the stage name “Carlos Dwayne,” is a native of Washington, DC. Carlos discovered at a very young age that he had a passion for singing and dancing. Being influenced by his father, who was also a singer and musician. Singing and dancing in church, and the school choir allowed Carlos to express his passion and grow his talent. In middle school is where he discovered his passion for acting, after being given a lead role in a school play. Since then he has acted in several stage plays, theater festivals, and has been an extra on the hit show “Shots Fired.”

blessed, not stressed/ In his college years at Winston-Salem State University Carlos participated in many on campus organizations such as, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, the varsity cheerleading team, marching band, and Mozik Modeling Troupe. Here is where he discovered his passion for both runway and commercial print modeling, and since then has walked in several fashion shows and photo shoots. After obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Carlos had a change of heart where he decided that his passion was more than just sitting in an office. 16 Beyond Your Frame Magazine
It wasn’t until the unexpected passing of his father, in the summer of 2017, that Carlos decided that it was time to really hone in on the pursuit of his dreams. In September 2017, he began working in the studio on his upcoming EP “Sincerely, Carlos Dwayne” from which his first single “Selfish” has been released. In October 2017, he started Rhythmically Inclined Dance Company in Charlotte, NC. The mission of Rhythmically Inclined Dance is to provide a place for dancers to train, and people who love to dance to do so without judgement.

Carlos plans to release “Sincerely, Carlos Dwayne� in the Spring of 2018. Rhythmically Inclined Dance, Charlotte is growing and making it’s name in the dance community. Carlos continues modeling and acting, and plans to participate in several projects and shows. There is no stopping Carlos Dwayne, and things will continue to grow and go up from here.

Mahogany Blonde/ Upcoming Plus Model, LaTonya “Mahogany Blonde” Noel, starting this scene since August, 2017 through a model company called “Kushions Plus Size” based in Georgia. I went from doing a model class and runway training, straight through to the runway, and it has been hitting the scene ever since. Each show I find myself growing more as a model and I’ve had the pleasure of building great relationships with other models, photographers, and designers. When dealing with stressful situations at shows, I usually just pray about it and look at it as another experience. Every show will not be big and lavish but it

will lead you to bigger and better things. My ritual before every show to help my nerves, is to have a sip of ginger ale and a prayer, to settle the Butterflies. My goal is to become an awesome Plus Model, doing commercial, editorial ads, for companies like Ashley Stewart, Lane Bryant, and other
plus size clothing apparel. I also want to get back to my acting as well. So, be on the lookout. This Baltimore girl will be busting the scenes in this Plus size arena very soon.

The Transition was a visionary’s project that came to fruition back in early April of 2017. In October 2017, the Transition begins the period of change from one state or condition to another. The Period of CHANGE! Light transitions from one phase to another phase, beauty to extreme beauty, rearranging the viewers feelings, their mood and emotions. The models chosen for this project, I knew would be able to portray The Transition as I see it. Also, they would transform the many looks into art and something unique to match my style. The Transition, to undergo or cause

A metamorphosis, a caterpillar to butterfly like effect moment all the while, enhancing the detail imagery of the work, creativity in the making of characters, and scenes centered around fashion statements. Let’s Transition together and altercation adding strange model behavior to poses matching strange lighting to capture the overall look while offering an eye of wonder to give the viewer, something entertaining as well as something unique. The Transition was composed of pieces from all over the world, France, Netherlands, England, etc showcasing
