Ayesa has partnered with Article 25, a not-for-profit organisation in London, driven by the United Nation’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which states that everyone has the right to adequate, dignified shelter. Their corporate mission is to provide a world where all communities can access better housing, safe school buildings and effective clinics and hospitals.
Ayesa will deliver the design of a new multidisciplinary care centre for Operation Smile Morocco in Marrakech. Operation Smile - a global charity of volunteer surgeons and clinical staff – runs several hundred reconstructive surgery missions in more than 30 countries every year. In Morocco, there are a limited number of facilities to treat cleft palates, and so families are forced to travel long distances to receive the necessary treatment for their children.
As a pro-bono project, our London team have carried out the consulting design work in their own free time, leading the project across multi-disciplines, including seismic structural, civil and geotechnical/ environmental work.
“It is our collective responsibility to deliver positive social, economic, and environmental impacts through our work and through our people.”
