STEM Schools Programme
Helping to nurture the next generation of engineers in Bahrain
STEM LEARNING WITH AYESA
STEM Learning is the largest provider of education and careers support in the realms of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. At the very core of STEM is the principle of engagement with young students in school or college settings.
Ayesa in Bahrain is delighted to offer a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Learning Programme to your students. This learning module aims to educate and motivate young students to consider Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in their future learning and potential career paths. Our team will bring a fresh perspective to STEM subjects teaching young students how they can apply them in their future work, roles and careers.
THE AIMS OF OUR STEM PROGRAMME:
1. To foster inquiring minds, logical reasoning, and collaboration skills: our team of expert engineers and scientists apply ‘real-life’ applications of STEM skills in a working environment, which allows students to see their value, to engage, and to learn how they can be used to solve complex problems.
2. To inspire young scholars how to plan and design a sustainable future.
3. To steer young students towards thinking logically and imaginatively: to question, to debate, to apply science, and to collaborate to help find the optimum solution.
Ayesa will provide insight on how science, technology, engineering and mathematics are used in ‘reallife’ projects to drive some of the most exciting and pioneering developments in Bahrain and around the world. We will show how engineering and environmental consultancy have become significantly intertwined: and how built assets require innovative solutions that will provide sustainability and resilience into the future.
But most of all, our key objective of this programme is to inspire your students to help shape the future of Bahrain.
For your information, we provide the format of our STEM Learning Program below.

- Career talks and learning path advice
- Presentations about STEM subjects
- Hands-on practical workshops and exercises to engage students with STEM
- Ayesa will present case studies with real-life examples
- Mentoring of students with expert, practical advice and moderating discussions
- Provision of support with STEM projects and activities
Years 1 – 6
Workshops to support team working and problem solving: For example: building bridges out of ordinary items and/or completing worksheets.
Discussions regarding global environmental responsibility: such as littering, recycling and conservation.
‘Think tank’ sessions which provoke discussion: What environmental issues should we consider when building a house/ hotel/shopping mall? What engineering elements do we need when building a bridge/ reclaiming land?
Year 7 – 11
Provision of basic careers advice to support GCSE and A-Level/ IB subjects. Ayesa uses examples of current and past projects and discuss the key learnings. We also introduce debate on critical environmental issues facing the world, focusing on specific Bahrain-based projects, which have been undertaken by Ayesa Bahrain (i.e. land reclamation, waste management).
Year 12 & 13
Provision of basic careers advice for those students currently selecting university courses, helping to tailor their learning path to a specific career aspiration.
Ayesa uses examples of current and past projects and discuss the key learnings.
Sessions focused on relevant and topical discussions such as: global warming, renewable energy, environmental governance etc.
