A Journey of Discovery Dear Patron, Since my youngest days I’ve had the privilege of experiencing the arts. They have opened worlds for me  — worlds of incredible discovery and possibility that have changed me forever. You’ve had the same experience as you found yourself enrapt in the intrigue of an actor’s dilemma, transported to a place of unspeakable emotional power through a musical journey, lifted and lightened by a company of dancers as they moved across the stage in perfect unison, or inspired by the mysterious images of the artist’s imagination on the canvas before you. Knowing your love of the arts, the students and faculty of the College of Fine Arts and Communications are thrilled to share with you our 2012–2013 season. Revel in a wealth of world-class talent, from Broadway legend Mandy Patinkin to superstar violinist Hilary Hahn. Be enthralled by our students’ production of the The Phantom of the Opera. Witness the EVIDANCE of BYU’s dance companies. Discover the mythology of monsters and heroes in the Museum of Art’s upcoming exhibition We Could Be Heroes. Experience the renowned Beijing Dance Academy in collaboration with the BYU Philharmonic. We’re offering you a ticket to places you can’t get to except through the arts. It’s a journey to a world of lifelong learning and discovery. The journey begins now. Come join us! Stephen Jones Dean BYU College of Fine Arts and Communications
