01 Healthcare Center For The Elderly Graduation project - Bachelor of Architectural Studies

Location: Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh city Year: 2019 Area: 3.6 ha Software: Revit, AutoCad, Lumion, Adobe Photoshop

The project aims to solve the problem of Vietnam’s population in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular today, when the aging population is increasing. In addition, the project contributes to the elderly’s ability to confide in, play and live in the most comfortable and safe way, actively improve their health, and solve disease problems, the most important of which is the disease within them, which most nursing homes today still haven’t met. Besides, we also want to eliminate people’s prejudices about this type.

The project is designed in an area with a diverse and rich ecosystem, suitable for green architecture, ecological architecture for the building, integrating the resort model to create a new, more comfortable and modern space than today’s nursing homes. The building uses traditional and local materials, minimizing problems of environmental pollution and creating a living space for the elderly to be close to nature, with the rustic, improving health, their god.

The overall effect that the project wants is to build a care center with the stutter of a garden city with Vietnamese village spaces, both rustic and comfortable. Always create courtyards to help people connect and communicate with each other more, promote the elderly to integrate with nature in the maximum and most effective way, further due to the need of photo design. affecting the elderly, so the choice of design solutions with courtyards and loop traffic is perfectly reasonable, helping the elderly always go back to their original position when their memory is reduced.

02 Mai Aunt’s House

Tien Phat So Tam Investment Construction & Trade Co.Ltd With Partner Location: Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh city Year: 2020 Area: 35.2 m2 Software: Revit, AutoCad, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Photoshop Manufacturers: Spec, Inax, Xingfa, Thanh Thuy Wood, Le Khanh Ceramic The project is built on a small plot of land with a size of 4x8, located in a small alley in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City with the entrance only 2m, in addition to the surrounding works are close together, construction density is also dense. With such current conditions, the taking of light, ventilation for the building, as well as meeting the functional needs are the main problems that we need to solve. The main owner of the project is mother and daughter, wishing to have a comfortable living space, bright spaces filled with natural ventilation. Due to the limited area and the impact of the construction permit, our team proposed a solution that was to create two skylights for the building, the first one is in the staircase, providing light for the corridor of floors, and also the main indoor ventilation core, the second is a small corner at the end of the house, helping the space behind, though not as effective as the front, is still enough to optimize the light and ventilation for the project.

Due to the influence of the construction permit, the building is not allowed to build a balcony, but instead our team made a small logia for the building, which is still enough for the investor to use freely. In addition, the permit also affects the staircase, so the main staircase core of the building is changed, but still meets the entire function of the project. With the small scale of the project, the sanitary arrangement of the common toilet floors, bringing the lavabo out is completely reasonable, making the space of the rooms more optimal and also meeting the needs of use when at the same time people do this and do that. The building uses materials and colors which are mainly neutral colors, making the space more elegant, lighter, and brighter, creating a cozy family. In addition, the project also uses visual measures, to help the house have a more depth and emphasis in each area when the construction area is limited.

03 Phuc Brother’s House

Tien Phat So Tam Investment Construction & Trade Co.Ltd With Partner Location: District 8, Ho Chi Minh city Year: 2020 Area: 489.2 m2 Software: Revit, AutoCad, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Photoshop Manufacturers: Spec, Inax, Xingfa, Thanh Thuy Wood, Sai Gon Ceramic, Maika Tiles The project is located in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City, where there is a dense construction, around the area is covered by canals but the drainage system is very low, the quality of life is not good. The road to the building is relatively complicated, having to turn many alleyways, cars cannot enter, not only that, but the main facade of the building is also located in the west, so it is influenced by the direction of hot sun. However, the area has the advantage of being surrounded by many green trees, suitable for all forms of green architecture, ecology. Based on the overall land plot, the design team has cleared up all the space around the construction area, creating front and rear gardens, landscape corridors on both sides to cater for ventilation solutions and get the best possible natural light when the rebuild density is very dense. The whole project is a combination of duplex townhouses, clearly divided according to usage needs, and is connected with each other through landscape areas inside and outside the building, helping family

members always create a connection with each other. Like other resident houses , the main function of the house is mainly concentrated on the ground floor and first floor, the terrace area will be the worship area, dry cleaning, in addition there is a small kitchen for dining and entertainment activities. Because the facade is influenced by the west, our team solution is based on the licensed bacony, create an extra layer of sun protection for the building, use a metal louvre system in the curved area so that homeowners can flexibly open and close depending on the area they want, enhance the heat protection system for the building, reducing direct visibility from the outside, connecting both houses into one block, that is also the design that the design team showed at the entrance of the building. The building uses materials, neutral colors, relatively light, accented by wood imitation materials, negative lines, combined with decorative lights, landscapes, help the whole project exude luxury and comfort.

04 Phuong Aunt’s House

Tien Phat So Tam Investment Construction & Trade Co.Ltd With Partner Location: District 10, Ho Chi Minh city Year: 2020 Area: 47.5 m2 Software: Revit, AutoCad, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Photoshop Manufacturers: Spec, Inax, Xingfa, Sai Gon Ceramic The project is located in a small alley in District 10, Ho Chi Minh City, with dense construction density, adjacent houses close together. With an area scale just enough, with a size of about 4x10.5, meeting functional needs is top priority, in addition, it is necessary to optimize the ventilation capacity of the building, create a relaxing and comfortable living space, that is what investors want after retirement. Because the house is home to a total of three households, the layout of bedrooms must meet standards and ensure privacy for each room to avoid affecting family members. Accepting that the area of ​​the rooms is limited, instead, the design team has advised the investor to use the furniture that is suitable for the indoor space, to save the area in the best possible way. To enhance the natural lighting and ventilation of the building, our team solution was to create two void, one at the end of the house, the other is in the stairwell area. Along with that, due to the influence of the construction permit on the terrace setback, the 2nd floor staircase has a little change to be more suitable and of course does not affect the overall function of the house.The main facade of the building is skewed to the southwest, so it is more or less affected by solar radiation, the solution is to use the wood imitation aluminum bar combined with vines, creating a filter membrane, helps the building to be airy, closer to nature. Common colors and materials of the building are mainly neutral colors, highlight only the main spaces of the building with other colors and materials, creating accents for the house. Using smart furniture to increase efficiency, as well as save space for the whole project.
