$500M AUD approx. twin tower - 210 and 216 units with podium retail. Role as Senior Project architect, develop client brief with client liaison, understand and apply authorities requirements. Design layouts and footprint - develop facade and form with Design Director + 3D cad modelling. Southern Shadow parameters provide height and building envelope constraints. Client as an international resort hotel group wish to provide 2 of the branding elements within a beach front high rise development. Size and mix of units work within the group’s parameter determined internationally through other projects - adopting this development matrix into a new development type. Personal international client / investor was to consider a JV role. The client liked the previous projects by the practice eg. The Oracle however did not want ‘a copy’. It was found variations too far from the client exemplar project were not acceptable however variation on the theme were considered.

300 room 6 star resort for H.H. Sheikh Suroor Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan - A project currently under construction. The same client as per Etihad Towers project. A client procured & developed by Michael Ducar one the practice’s founding director’s. Prior to the UAE property downturn as Senior Project architect I provided design and documentation support ‘on the ground’ to Michael Ducar. During a 18 month concept to initial site works phase the role was to develop concept layout designs - liaise & coordinate with local consultants and local authorities. Also to liaise and coordinate with the interior design company from US Hirsch Bednar and Associates integrating concept layouts and Back of house requirements to operator and local Halal authorities requirements. Before leaving DBI considering and in negotiations with the DBI interiors team to play an active role in the project during construction and final construction documentation phase.

Small scale inner city owner occupier multi residential development for Dario Pigazzo. While on contract as design architect for Kris Kowalski Architects. Required development of design concept using layouts developed by Dario and Kowaslki team. Further development and enhancement in house by the pigazzo development team from marketing purposes.
GENTING PREMIER BEST WESTERN
THE NCT Group negotiated to develop an ‘abandoned project’ in the Genting Highlands - near the Genting group Casino. Initially 800 apartments in 4 towers and 2 low rise blocks - the piling and structure is already in place for phase one buildings prior to commencing works. During the acquisition phase the client requested a tower to be placed on the existing carpark podium while negotiations were in place with a potential operator - the best western group. Phase one is completed and operating. Which includes all operator facilities and infinity edge enclosed pool area. Despite challenging parameters such as the unique highland climate and limited budget for finishes and hard to source quality craftsmen - the project is multiple international award winning development. Own Practice V:DRO works. Currently 1400 apartment development. Multiple international award winner.

One of the new ‘retail experience’ concept showrooms for the Bentley group. Initially a design competition exercise for the collaborative - coinciding with major international project work for myself. A very personal project with my love of classic motor vehicles. The showroom becomes an experience for visitor adjoining a high end shopping centre. Our concept was to provide an elegant ‘jewel case’ for the vehicles and within the ‘retail experience’ lay out the history of the classic Marque in panels backlit similar to ‘high tech’ art gallery.

PIBR RESIDENTIAL RESORT MASTERPLAN
Initially brought in to provide conceptual architecture + masterplanning with DBI. Following schematic design by SCDA then redesign by local large scale architect GDP - the client requested - review the design and provide design input to large scale local archtiect GDP to assist return to intial resort style concept.
