Saying Goodbye To 2019, Hello to 2020 Our Thanks As another year draws to a close, it’s time to look back and reflect on the past 12 months. It is also a time to give thanks to the customers, partners and friends that supported AIRBRUSH DOJO & C2C DAILY. As a young and small company, it means a lot to us that customers choose us to create their online ads with us in our publications. Our carefully selected network of partners helps us create and deliver authentic art experiences. Their local knowledge and insider access is key to inspirational, intriguing and memorable art experiences. We like to say that when you embark with us, you start off as a customer but by the end of the year, you are a friend. We find that our past customers truly have become friends that we keep in touch with. Some of them not only return with us year after year but also recommend us to their social networks. It is heartening to see the support from our new friends. Reflecting on 2019 This year has been exhilarating. More people chose to come on board with us, which makes us very happy. In 2019, we officially celebrated our 4th anniversary of publishing online magazines. We hosted our first groups from Independence, Mo for our Airbrush Dojo Academy as well as we started classes at an local Michaels Craft store in the DFW area. The group from Independence, Mo ISD were so satisfied that they want us back in 2020. We hope that more Midwest markets will put their trust in us and book us for more Airbrush Seminars with us. What’s Happening in 2020? The first half of 2020 is already filling up for us with a returning private group from a Business Expo that want us to speak in February 2020. We will continue to build AIRBRUSH DOJO MAGAZINE by concentrating our efforts on online presence, social media, website development, Page 2 of 7

The most important part of taking up painting with an Airbrush is the cleaning and care for it. Taking time to properly clean your airbrush is what will be the defining attribute to a nice clean airbrush painting. The saying used to be “your painting will only be as good as your equipment,” when it is in fact, ” your art will only be as good as how CLEAN your equipment is.” Flushing procedure 1. Loosen the needle-chucking nut and pull the needle back a little. 2. Pour the cleaning fluid into the airbrush cup. 3. Use a short-bristled, soft brush, such as a stencil brush, to remove any paint inside the

cup. 4. Spray cleaning fluid through the airbrush away from your work and into a cleaning

pot or cloth to catch the overspray. 5. As you spray with more cleaner, cover the needle cap with a soft cloth. This forces air

back through the passageways and into the bowl to dislodge any residue. You will see air bubbles in the cup. This is called the ‘backflush’ technique. Do not use a bare finger; avoid risk of forcing compressed air into your bloodstream. 6. Repeat the flushing procedure until the cleaning fluid runs clear. Spray onto a white cloth or paper towel to test if it is completely clear. If you have been using white color, it is better to test it against a dark surface. For siphon/bottom feed airbrushes use the same technique as above using separate bottles for the water and cleaning fluid. Cleaning needles and needle caps Once you have thoroughly flushed out the airbrush, you will need to clean the needle and needle cap following the steps below. 1. Remove the handle and loosen the needle-chucking nut. Dampen a soft cloth with airbrush cleaning fluid. 2. Remove the needle carefully and draw Pic 4 the needle gently across the cloth whilst rotating it, then repeat. (pic 4) 3. Unscrew the needle cap and clean the inside with a brush. Clean the nozzle cap if paint

has built up on it, but do not remove the nozzle. Replace the needle cap.

4. Ensure the button is sitting correctly before carefully re-inserting the needle. Use slight pressure to push the needle up into the nozzle until it stops. It helps to rotate the needle a little to ensure it sits properly in position. 5. Tighten the needle-chucking nut firmly with your fingers
