WHY ATTEND
An International Forum for the Advancement of Defense Modernization & Technological Primacy
The 2024 Emerging & Disruptive Technologies (EDT) for Defense Conference is a pivotal gathering for military leaders, industry influencers, academia, and non-traditional defense entities. This groundbreaking event is dedicated to shaping joint capabilities and integrating disruptive technologies within the defense landscape. Emphasis will be placed on innovation modernization priorities and cutting-edge technologies, fostering the development of Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) architecture, enhanced maneuver capabilities, information advantage, and space domain superiority.
In response to the rapid evolution of technology and the dynamic global threat landscape, the Department of Defense and NATO partners recognize the need to embrace innovation for future all-domain warfare in the Digital Age. Geopolitical events, notably the conflict in Ukraine, underscore the adversary's utilization of both hard and soft power. The urgency to swiftly disseminate critical information across land, air, sea, space, and cyber domains has never been more pronounced, especially in the face of increasingly capable opponents.
To effectively compete in this information-centric environment, armed forces must establish digital backbones, enhance Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities, adopt open systems design and software, integrate artificial intelligence technologies, and advance training and readiness through VR/AR technologies. Additionally, understanding and leveraging the space domain are imperative components of the defense strategy.
During the two conference days, participants will delve into topics such as the integration of datadriven capabilities, intelligence Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) transformation, cloud architecture implementation, the impact of AI/Machine Learning (ML) enabled technologies, unmanned and autonomous systems, robotics, cyber resilience across networks and platforms, space technologies, and the vital themes of training and readiness with the incorporation of VR/AR.
This event provides a comprehensive opportunity to network with senior decision-makers and subject matter experts in person. I eagerly anticipate your participation in the conference in March, welcoming you to explore and contribute to the forefront of defense innovation.
Yours Sincerely,
Linda Lastovych Conference Director American Conference Institute
