The Five Wonders of Poetry By: Krishan G.
Animals and Their Young Audio For Poem The dog lay motionless on the bed, A soft white pillow gently caressing its head. Her puppies were all snuggled up her at her feet, They were all sleeping soundly after their bedtime treat. The birds outside chirped a sweet tune, As they perched in a tree illuminated by the moon. The tiny chicks were all cuddled in the nest, Snuggling in for a long nights rest. The cat lay lazily in the shadows of night, Cleaning itself in the stars rays of light. Its kittens were all very close by, One by one, closing their eyes.
The deer were All prancing around, Dancing away to the bird’s precious sound. The baby deer all toddle and trot, Skipping around the vast grass lot. All the animals, nocturnal or not, Were getting ready for a night in the lot. And all the animals, with their young, Were as peaceful as ever… all having fun.
Home Sweet Home Audio For Poem The air was crisp on a cold winter night As I trotted back to our wooden cottage. The smell of a fresh berry pie wafted Out of an open window. The sweet aroma fills my lungs And I cannot wait to taste the delicious goodness. When I open the door to the foyer, I kick off my snow boots. Next I rip off my damp socks, And finally remove my jacket. It feels so wonderful to be back In my brightly lit, cozy cabin. The wood stove emitting warmth,
The cooking in the kitchen giving off many fantastic smells, The sizzling sound of the stove, And, best of all, sitting on the old beat-up couch with the cat, Who is softly purring. Ah, how I love home. Home, the place where everything is joyful, The place where everything is bright, It is where It is warm and cozy, Home is a place that is just right.

Fright Night Audio For Poem Halloween is magnificent! It means strolling around town During the dark, creepy night with all your awesome friends You gear up in costumes as princesses, Vikings, or even cookie monster! You can turn into anything you want. Ah, the sensation Of throwing sweet delicious candy Into our gaping mouths And our hungry pillow cases All the while Howling with Laughter As we tell jokes and stories Halloween is also a time for carving pumpkins
into frightening shapes and sizes Best of all, the decorations Black cats prowl through the night Witches fly around on broomsticks Some places even have carnivals You enter-if you dare- the haunted house, And come out with horrifying images Stuck in the back of your mind. You can win cool prizes for playing the fun games And why I love the carnivals, Is all the junk food. I can practically feel my tummy groan As I devour a sweet, succulent snickers bar And top it off with some sour straws. But I don’t care. And after the carnival, You cant forget heading down the forbidden path To old man smith's rickety old house
Legend says a group of kids went in And never came out. Ah, how I love the feeling of fear. The sweet feel of candy on my tongue. The good ol' Halloween legends and stories. The knick-nacks won at a carnival. Ah, how I love Halloween.
