I push Only because I know The satisfaction will be worth it In the end, I'll appreciate it all I'll appreciate all my hard work And it will be worth it I use these words to p r o p e l me forwardI feel as if I'm plummeting through the water Faster than lightning My hands pound to the wall The water surrounds me; embracing me like a hug My eyes dart to the scoreboard And at that moment I realize That hard work does pay off.
The Perfect Summer Treat Cold and refreshing, Thick and creamy; Perfect for a hot day The melting sensation on your tongue Is just enough To make your heart tingle with joyMaking you feel like a little
kid again
It drips onto your fingers And makes your hands A
sticky mess
But of courseThat only makes it more delicious You savor it-

The Cool Blue Sea The waves silently crash against the shore The sun beams down on me from above The sky is as blue as a fresh coat of paint The perfectly fluffy clouds remind me of marshmallows in the sky Children play and giggle in the glistening blue water Parents sit back in their lawn chairs, book in hand I Just Sit I watch, admiring the beauty of the ocean and everything around me I sit and watch some more The coordination of the waves and the sand fascinates me More than anything else I've ever seen I take a mental picture of my surroundings; The waves, the sun, the sky, the clouds I want to always remember this moment I hold onto this picture like a young child to her mother I will never forget this moment I sit there, taking it all in And enjoying the beauty of the world
