Bird’s Nest, Beijing, China: Guarded Sportingly Beijing National Stadium is the expression of safety and security where a whole stadium is enclosed by steel cages. It is exhibited as a nest, which explains the other popular name “Birds’ Nest”. It is located in the Olympic green, the centre point of Beijing games in Beijing, China. The project was the result of alliance between architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron of Herzog & de Meuron, CADG led by chief architect Li Xinggang, Designer Ai Weiwei and project architect Stefan Marbach.The construction of stadium has started in 24 December 2003 and completed in September 2007. It has inaugurated in 28 June 2008. Bird’s Nest has honor of hosting 2008 Summer Olympics and Paralympics and again going to host the Winter Olympics and Paralympics in 2022. It has also won Lubetkin Prize in 2009. Currently the stadium is mostly used for football matches.

Beijing National Stadium aka Bird’s Nest is inspired from “crazed” pottery in Chinese culture. The concept of the building was chaos in orderly world conveyed in the porous structure with the collective nature. The height of structure has gone up to the 69.2m with gross floor area of 254,600m2. It contains two structures far from each other at the distance of 50 feet with red concrete sitting arrangement and outer steel frame. The northern and southern stands are lower than eastern and western stands. Those are capable of accommodating 91,000 seats including the 11,000 seats which are used
