Virtual Venturi Tube Equipment 虛擬文德利管實驗 實驗課程對於水利教育是非常重要的,然而,這些實驗實驗儀器採購及保養費用高昂。本研究開發了虛擬文德利管實驗儀。設 計初期,使用多種紙本原型來收集相關資料,在電腦中設計了一套虛擬的儀器。虛擬儀器中有互動功能,透過操作此虛擬儀器 ,使用者可獲得及時回應,就如使用回真正的設備。在後續文德利管實驗的案例研究中,得到了開發虛擬儀器的系統化流程。 這流程包含五個步驟: (1)定義實驗流程 (2)建立3D虛擬實境模型 (3)加入流程控制 (4)導入物理定律 (5)置入3D操作功能。 研究的重點是使用虛擬實境,將儀器、流程、物理理論導入虛擬電腦環境中。為了評估虛擬儀器的有效性,做了一套評估,目 的是要了解虛擬實驗設備能給學生多大的幫助,包括(1)實驗花費的時間 (2)正確操作實驗儀器的步驟 (3)了解實驗的理論 (4) 學生學習態度虛擬文德利管實驗成功的模擬了一個步驟性的儀器,讓學生透過虛擬實境的介面,預先學習操作儀器的各種步驟 。虛擬儀器透過介面操作可以讓使用者節省空間與時間,同時,學生可以透過網路進入虛擬實驗室去操作,研究結果證明了虛 擬水利設備的實用性,同時,虛擬實驗是可以讓學生輕易的透過網路使用之。因此,虛擬實驗儀器可用來建立以網路3D互動虛 擬實境水利實驗室,虛擬儀器可提高教學的品質,為工程教育中值得開發的領域。

Development of Virtual Equipment for a Hydraulic Mechanics Experiment The Development of Virtual Venturi Tube Experiment

Laboratory class is very important in the education of hydraulic mechanics. However, it usually requires a high expenditure on equipment purchase and maintenance. This rearch had developed a virtual Venturi tube experiment. The research process were designed as Fig xx.Then in the next research.The Venturi Tube Experiment is used as a complete case study. It provided a systemized procedure for the developing of virtual equipment, which include five steps: (1) defining the experiment procedure; (2) building a 3D virtual reality model; (3) adding procedure controllers; (4) adding physics rules to the virtual world; (5) adding 3D manipulation functions. An evaluation was designed to acquire the effectiveness of the virtual experiment in preparing students for the real-world version. The achievements of this research include redesigning a procedural-based experiment. The results offered strong confirmation of the usefulness of the virtual hydraulic equipment. The virtual equipment led the users by interaction and immersion, thereby saving valuable space and time in the laboratory. Meantime, a virtual lab accessible from the Internet allows easy networking for students. Therefore, virtual hydraulic equipment can also be used as building blocks for a highly interactive and immersive Web-based virtual lab for hydraulic experiments. The development of virtual equipment upgrades the quality of teaching and can become a prominent new frontier in the field of engineering education.
