Teen Programs & Leadership Opportunities

Leadership Opportunities COUNTY AMBASSADORS—GRADES 7–12 Strengthen your leadership skills in the 4-H County Ambassador program. Partnering with county 4-H staff, volunteers, and others, you will organize activities and facilitate communication throughout your county and district. Two to four teens and an advisor are selected from each county. County Ambassador orientation and training takes place at Teen Leadership Summit, March 22–23, 2014. More: www.4h.wsu.edu/ca.

STATE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM—GRADES 9–12 Promote 4-H through cooperation, communication, leadership, and planning as a Washington State 4-H Ambassador. 4-H Ambassadors support teens within county and district 4-H programs, and promote county, state, and national opportunities. Made up of 16 teens, the SA team is elected each fall at the District Rallies. The team meets quarterly for leadership training, team building, and goal setting, and to plan Teen Leadership Summit and Teen Conference. More: www.4h.wsu.edu/sa.

4-H ADVISORY BOARD—GRADES 9–12 Use your 4-H experience to strengthen the Washington State 4-H Program and contribute to the planning of the 4-H Leaders’ Forum. Two teens from each district serve a 2-year term. The board meets three times a year. Elections are held at the District Rallies each fall. More: www.4h.wsu.edu/ab.
