Taking the client information on board, and utilizing our research and brainstorming, the team concluded that we would explore and present the four key concepts: “connectivity,” “technology,” “typographic” and “flexible identity.” The client chose the flexible identity theme. Recently, the flexible design has become a significant tool for defining corporate identity elements. Flexible identity systems are focused around one big central idea but has strands or the space for subtle variation, which makes it more powerful than a traditional logocentric design. This branding method is dynamic, versatile, exciting, and inspirational, in line with the BioMelbourne Network values and traits. Here we provided the client with four logos and accompanying toolkits that represented different connections, communities and scenarios.

PENINSULA LARDER Proudly Australian made, Flavour Pearls are a gourmet garnish which brings molecular gastronomy to your food, bubbly and cocktails. The project milestone is to create and design a beautiful and suitable â&#x20AC;&#x2DC;refreshedâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; brand identity for Peninsula Larder and apply that to their Flavour Pearl packaging and collateral for both print and web. The design will communicate effectively with both food services and retail customers. The design will evoke key feelings such as luxury, finesse, specialty, the notion of a gift and a delicacy. Another layer that the team will decipher is the appeal to the tourist market and the potential for the product to have a whisper of Australia in its looks and feel. TUS'A TUS'A is a rebranding project for Xinyi Dream Works of Plums in Xinyi Township Farmer's Association. The naming and design are both inspired by local aboriginal culture. "TUS'A" means time and dawn in traditional saying in Atayal who are the residents in Xinyi. The graphics combine traditional aboriginal totems and illustrations of the local landscape. The other idea is to use different colors to differentiate different flavors and use them to represent the passing of time. IBD FUNDRAISING PROMOTION IBD or Inflammatory Bowel Disease is becoming more and more common, more complex, and more severe in Australia. It affects about 1 in 250 people between the ages of 5 and 40. Almost 75,000 Australians have Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, and this number is expected to increase to 100,000 by 2022. One in five of IBD patients required surgery and only 1% of hospitals had a full IBD team. Crohn’s and Colitis Australia offers high-quality information and support to enable people to live their life to the fullest and follow their dreams. CONNECTED ConnectEd is a social media platform which is centered and focused around creating meaningful connections, aiding users in establishing an understanding of their educational and career prospects. The logo and visual identity design will reflect the core company objectives of easy, fun, and immediate in order to reflect the engaging nature of the company. The design for the mobile application will emulate key feelings such as connectivity, and inspiration in order to create a point of difference within the market space. Primarily for students aged 18â&#x20AC;&#x201C;25 years of age. The application aims to reach users who attend Australian universities, commencing in Victoria, eventually progressing to the USA, UK, and China. The final direction is the "CE" progressive monogram but adapts it to be a slightly abstracted infinity symbol. The break in the symbol suggests the path that a person might take or the turns that might come in their career. The colours shifted to more of a dark blue and indigo in order to strengthen the presence, especially as a button on an app screen. We used the logo to design a basic style guide and toolkit to use to mock up some potential screens. This, however, was purely for look and feel, we were in no position to design the user experience given the client was still figuring out the app. From here we designed icon sets and an extensive colour palette to give an introduction of where this branding set could take the application.

MOSA MOSA is a mobile game which targets two extreme groups in Taiwan: those who had lost their culture and those who are not aware of their cultures. The game provides them with an opportunity to know their local histories. The game first took place at Military Kindred Villages which has one of the most unique cultures in Taiwan. The original purpose of the Military Kindred Village was to serve as provisional housing for soldiers of Republic Of China government armed forces and their families from China. The houses in these villages were often haphazardly and poorly constructed, having been built hastily with limited funding. Many of them were isolated by bamboo fences and a unique culture was formed.
