CAIRNS Based ADF Cycling Team member Thomas Beddome stamped his dominance upon the LDI Cycling Criterium Series last weekend.

Cairns Cycling commentator Alan Jones before the event felt that Beddome had the series stitched up. “All he has to do is stay on his bicycle to win it today, “quipped Jones.

“Interesting Queensland Track Squad rider, Brandon Hutton is a champion sprinter, but with a little bit of ground, Thomas will make it hard for him.”

The Men’s A Grade fin-

ished as Jones predicted. Thomas Beddome overall ahead of Brandon Hutton.

The Women’s A Grade is the race of the day. With a strong battle between Megan Pickford and Anita Narula. Pickford winning the series as predicted from Narula in second place.

Also gaining valuable racing experience were ten juniors across Under 13 and Under 15 divisions.

The Juniors had the assistance of several coaches riding with them, mentoring them with regard to race etiquette and tactics. Verity Pickford was victorious in the Girls Under 13, Tom Rodney Boys Under 13, whilst Liam

Scott took out the Boys Under 15 and Rone Thompson the Girls Under 15 division.
