Holy Snapping Penguins Batman Now since I own Wayne’s World, I want to have a whinge about one subject that has me boiling.
There was no running water, all the pipes were frozen and yes that means the bloody loo was out of order too, hated squatting in the back yard.
Some people have been walking past this cranky old doorman saying that it’s starting to get too hot up here in the North Queensland tropics.
For old time sakes and after 30 plus years, totally out of curiosity I recently purchased and tried putting on a jumper that I found in Vinnies.
Really people! That’s why they call it the tropics not the freezpics.
But stick my head in a bucket of ice till I turned blue, once I pulled it up over my feet and knees be buggered if it would fit over me guts and nestle around the neck so I threw it out the window.

Now I have relished living up here since escaping from Vicoldia in ’82 after having lived in a country town for 9 months that never got above minus 4 degrees celsius for three weeks.
Now here in God’s country (thanks Joh B) to cool off we strip off and light up the bar-
bie or slip into air con with a coldie while the adventurous dive into the lagoon (have you noticed it looks like the mirror imaged map of QLD) that the backpackers have lovingly topped up with pee. So next time some cold blooded creature says it’s too bloody hot, throw a jumper at them and tell em to put on three layers of clothing and that they’re freaks for wanting to live like that.
