GLOW AND SEE (INDUSTRY PLACEMENT)
THE BRAND GLOW AND SEE is a unique sustainable knitwear accessories brand, with equality and community at the heart. GLOW works with charities and BAMER women to create their products in an aim to have an encouraging, fair and empowering workplace. I took part in a 6-month content creation and social media internship in 2020 as part of my placement year at university. The content I have created with this brand encourages and reflects the positive values as set by their ethos, along with hi-vis, knitwear and cycling themes to showcase the products.
Through my 6 months at GLOW I have mastered how to create stop motions, flat lays and reels. As well as improving my creativity in regular photoshoots. Content created was used across all social media platforms including their instagram feed and stories. Daily tasks included engagement on socials, content research/ planning, creating/ editing content, writing email newsletters. This internship has given me the chance to put my knowledge into practise, where I could develop my skills with software that I am confident with (such as Adobe). Whilst also becoming familiar with ‘Canva’, ‘Later’ and ‘Mailchimp’. For assistance in the brand’s social planning and email marketing.
Pinterest Whilst I took an assistance role in managing the brand’s Instagram account, midway thorugh my internship I was given the responsibility of managing their Pinterest account. My brief upon starting was to use the account to drive people towards the GLOW website. I used it as a promotional tool to showcase new products and gifting in time for Christmas, as well as sharing the brand’s ethos and values. A mix of stop motions and text images with soft transitionings, they were aimed to be bright and catchy to show off the brand’s image.
JUNIPER MAG
Meaning of juniper Juniper Magazine was made to inform readers on the true meaning of sustainability. A place to find new independant brands and designers where sustainability is at the heart of what they create. Each article has a different aim, Whether that is simple tips to adapt to a more sustainable lifestyle. Brands that we have found that share our values. Or sharing new technologies that could be used in the future. This magazine is a place to learn and be inspired by what other creatives are doing towards the movement of slow fashion.

Dreaming London lookbook and web design
‘Dreaming London’ is an independant brand based in Shoreditch, London that sells vintage and reworked clothes. With stores in Brick Lane Market and online on Asos Marketplace. All of the garments sold are made by hand The idea behind the lookbook was to bring out the heart of the brand, their creativity. Being located in such a unique part of London, I wanted to bring this out by shooting in front of graffiti in Shoreditch. Varying the shots and poses to suit these unique garments. It is a very bright and bold shoot from the makeup and styling to the location of the shoot itself.

Lookbook
Lookbook
web/ logo design The website created shared the same inspiraiton as the lookbook, bright, bold and creative elements. The background of the site shares an image of grafitti where the shoot took place to keep it cohesive. The lookbook itself is in a grid layout to share each image and product. When an image is selected it becomes larger and shares product information. The logo design came from the label used in the garments but with the dots reversed in colour and adding the double bettering. I thought this would give a sense of familiarity from the previous logo whilst also adding some new details.

Missguided Video Campaign
Inspiration
Using our own trend named ‘Liquid Light’ which takes inspiration from sustainable alternatives for light. Being drawn to its calming aesthetic as well as it’s technology and art combination. We hoped that this trend would help drive sustainability in a new direction to better the planet.
Moodboard
Creating a video campaign for a brand of our choice, using concepts of macro trend forecasting from previous work. The product must match the brand’s image as well as the trend. Brand identity must be carried through the product well and should feel as if they had produced it.

Visual Merchandising
Seditionary In groups we were given the task to create a visual merchandising display that had to link with a selected word. Our word was ‘Seditionary’ which is associated with rebellion against authority and establishment. In our research we looked at the punk rock movement. Along with designers that we thought embraced sedition, those being ‘Vivienne Westwood’ and ‘Stella McCartney’. The idea behind choosing these designers, because they have shown acts of rebellion throughout their careers in fashion. Our installation was a rebellion against fast fashion and consumerism. Displayed is a floor covered with overfilled shopping bags with the names of fast fashion brands, to symbolise the amount of waste from mass production. We also have quotes hanging from the ceiling which display different ‘fashion revolution’ quotes. In a hope to shock those that see the display and change their own habits along with new brands and designers.

@ctout_ fashion
I created @ctout_fashion as a way to showcase my creative work. I has a mixture of shoots from university courseworks, internship pieces and any personal projects. This is a space in which I have complete creative control and can post any selection of images I love. Each shoot is sectioned off by rows and typically in a set to give a clear grid view.
