Riverdog

Riverdog Farm Riverdog is a certified organic farm set in the beautiful Capay Valley. Owner-operators Tim Mueller and Trini Campbell met at Grinnell College, where they helped start a class about sustainable agriculture. In 1990 they started farming on a 2-acre plot of land and selling their produce at a farm stand near the Napa River, where Shadow, their black Labrador, would cool off. Shadow would return from her swim and shake off the water on the customers, who nicknamed her Riverdog. This was the name Tim and Trini later gave to their farm. Over the next few years their business grew rapidly. Tim and Trini expanded their selection of crops, their crop rotations and their acreage, all the time learning through trial and error. Riverdog Farm now spans 200 acres and produces tomatoes, cabbage, beets, carrots, squash, melon, and a wide variety of other crops throughout the year. Tim and Trini hope to keep Riverdog Farm growing long into the future so that they can continue to provide a great workplace for their farm staff and send delicious produce to farmers’ markets, CSAs, and restaurants throughout Northern California.
