The Alumni Photography Exhibition held in conjunction with the 150th anniversary of the founding of the University celebrates the here and now by displaying the professional successes and artistry of UNH alumni photographers. Open to all alumni, the show presents the creative work of those who studied photography formally and those who discovered the medium on their own. It includes an extraordinary range of visual culture documented through the lens of a camera onto film, made through digital technologies, and the hybrid creations of both processes. The works vary from images made in the studio to photographs taken outdoors locally and from around the globe, arousing wonder and inspiring a sense of discovery.Of the one-hundred and seventy-six submissions, fifty-five photographs by twenty-two photographers made the final cut. Kristen Gresh ’97, Estrellita and Yousuf Karsh Assistant Curator of Photographs, Museum of Fine Arts Boston had the difficult task of selecting the photographs to be included.
