California Cannabis Testing Labs
In 2019, California Cannabis Testing Labs (CCTL) opened its doors in Northridge, California, marking its entry as a pioneering force in the state's cannabis industry. With an additional office in Santa Rosa, CCTL brought high-standard, ISO 17025-certified cannabis testing to a wide service area that included Los Angeles County, Palm Springs, and parts of Northern California. The lab's foundation was built on a dedication to enhancing public safety and supporting regulatory compliance, ensuring that cannabis products distributed within the market adhered to the highest levels of quality and safety. CCTL quickly distinguished itself from other testing facilities by implementing advanced technologies and methodologies. The lab utilized sophisticated Agilent Technologies equipment to conduct comprehensive analyses across various categories, including potency, pesticides, microbial contaminants, residual solvents, moisture content, and heavy metals. These efforts were crucial in verifying that cannabis products were safe for consumption and met all regulatory requirements. The adoption of Tagleaf software significantly boosted the efficiency of CCTL's operations. This innovative technology facilitated a seamless client interaction, from sample submission to final reporting. Clients could easily track their samples throughout testing, enhancing transparency and accountability. This capability was particularly valued in a fast-paced industry where time and accuracy are of the essence. One of CCTL's notable achievements came in early 2024 when it was recognized as one of the select few laboratories approved by the California Department of Cannabis Control to perform potency testing under a new, stringent validation method. This recognition underscored CCTL's technical proficiency and alignment with state regulatory advancements, further establishing the lab as a leader in the field.
