Stamford American’s Family Tree BY KAY SPEARS When looking back through the years at the histories of families, genealogists look at who came before, as in what were the parent’s names, what were their vital statistics (birth and death dates), where did they live, etc. The same information can be translated for a business, such as previous dates and owners, previous locations, and business mergers. Businesses most definitely can have family trees and, in celebration of the 10th anniversary of The New Stamford American this year, a look at its lineage may be of interest. The New Stamford American was born, or had its first newspaper published, on June 4, 2009 by Callie Metler-Smith. SEE PAPER, PAGE 7
Mini Cheer Camp will be held July 29-31 from 10am12pm at the SHS gym for 4 year olds to 5th grade. Cost is $40 and includes instruction, t-shirt & pep rally appearance. Registration will start at 9:40 on July 29th.
