Cactus

With the sun brings warmth With the warmth brings the cacti Tall and green and firm where you stand Fruit thrives from your head Inviting small animals in Birds perch on your limbs Your thin needled shield keeps your heart safe Beings seem to leave filled with your spines I hug your entirety knowing the repercussions I shove my face in your chest exhaling with every pinch

Finding Peace

Grass grows out from the top of my head Out sprouts flowers where beetles can live My eyes close tight as my nose faces the sun I soak in light and try to breath out the dark It takes some time There's a lot of light-less days They're still stuck in my joints And between my bones and skin They leave traces and indents That my triggered head likes to latch onto And build mass clots That normal thoughts can't run through But I breathe in light And grow grass from head I find some kind of peace In the non peaceful place I'm in I preach about the beauty in the sky and earth But sometimes it's just to convince myself Everything isn't dull and scared and cold I try to find beauty, so I don't die before I'm old I breath in light And grow grass from my head
