The present expanded library moved to the first floor.. It will provide convenient access and focus the emphasis on contemporary learning which necessitates the availability of research materials and databases as indispensable to graduate education. The purpose of the university library is to welcome students, alumni, faculty, practitioners, and research scholars along with casual users alike. The hope is that library patrons will find a quiet, peaceful, and useful place in the reading rooms, conference rooms, and individual carrels for study, reflection, contemplation, and repose in the pursuit of knowledge. Welcome Dr. Rodger McGinness! Professor in the M.B.A. Program Dr. Rodger McGinness joined the CalUMS academic team in April 2012 as the faculty assigned to teach BA 561—Financial Accounting, to graduate students in the MBA program. With over thirty years of classroom teaching experience, Dr. McGinness also has many years teaching online utilizing educational technology. Dr. McGinness began his professional career on Wall Street as a stockbroker. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado with a major in business administration, specializing in corporate finance, marketing, and international business. Dr. McGinness holds the degree Doctor of Education from the University of California, Los Angeles, Graduate School of Education and Information Studies. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Loyola Marymount University, and a Master of

Science in Administration Degree, specializing in organization behavior, from the University of Southern California. Dr. McGinness retired from Copper Mountain College as Vice President of Academic Affairs, Chief Instructional Officer, after seven years with the college. Prior to joining the administration at Copper Mountain College, Dr. McGinness was employed by the Los Angeles Community College District for over thirty years in a variety of positions including: classroom instructor, distance education instructor, Division Chair, and Dean of Academic Affairs.

Details about the scholarship opportunity: Student must apply for this award at least four weeks prior to the beginning of the quarter. The applicant must be a currently enrolled student who has completed three or more quarters (full-time) at CalUMS. The applicant must have an overall GPA of at least 3.0 (for Associate and Bachelor) and 3.5 (for Masters). Applications are available at the front desk.

Sena is a luxurious electric device accessory designer that offers classy, stylish protective leather cases. Its unique cases not only offer high standards, high quality and pleasing appearance, they also provide exceptional functionality. The company was formed in 1999 and it is located in Irvine, CA. It is a contracting company with other overseas entities in three main countries, China, Vietnam, and Turkey. Sena has been considered one of the top 10 growing companies in Orange County, California. Sena’s mission is to supply high quality and durable leather cases for its targeted customers, those expecting upscale quality. Sena’s product designer pointed out that most of the supplies for producing the cases are from South Korea, a main exporter of fashion accessory products and supplies.
