Training
Planning Asset & Land recognises the importance of project delivery and supports this recognition through the supply of appropriately trained employees. Each employee is an industry specialist and their development is supported through a wide-range of task orientated, safety critical and leadership programmes ensuring continuous deployment of high-performing teams. This investment in training adds to the culture of Asset & Land and is readily demonstrated in approach to health and safety. Here Asset & Land, whilst not accepting of mistakes, encourage a lessons learned environment to ensure any repeat failings are removed. Through the provision of our bespoke “Edu-bus� we are able to deliver on-the-job refresher training, including inductions and other site briefings at the workplace.
Asset & Land is fully aware of the negative impact of a poorly planned project; cost overruns, programme delays and reputational damage are all potential outcomes if the project is not properly considered and planned. We therefore encourage early engagement with our specialist engineers to ensure early risks are addressed. Upon appointment we will present to all stakeholders our proposed methodology in 4D giving you the client the confidence to plan the subsequent phases.
Acquisition
Sale Changing legislation and an overall lack of public acceptance when it comes to brownfield sites has led to legacy assets becoming millstones of landowners, whether private individuals or public bodies. Asset & Land has the knowledge and expertise to convert your land in to a valuable asset. This value adding process can be carried out in partnership or as a full asset sale, either way you will benefit in both cash terms and renewed credibility.
Open Book Approach Commerciality is key to all aspects of our business to ensure our client and partners achieve best value. This is why we will adapt an open book approach to ensure sale value is not hidden by safe cost of removal or cost of removal appears to prohibit sale. Our in-house contract costing system can be opened to view by clients and partners. Assets can then be sold jointly or direct.
Decommissioning & Decontamination The dismantling of hazardous plant in safety critical environments requires a thorough understanding of the risks involved and the techniques required in managing those risks. Asset & Land has gained experience in the petro-chemical and nuclear industry, consistently demonstrating the high level of skill needed. Similarly the techniques developed in delivering on these projects has steered our procurement strategy, thus ensuring the efficient deployment of specialist plant and equipment. Our high-performing teams are all industry accredited and are supported by specialist equipment and a strong in-house engineering capability. Demolition & Dismantling Demolition and dismantling is Asset & Land’s core strength. Group CEO Barry Kilroe has been involved in demolition and asset recovery for over 20 years, during this time he has developed and nurtured industry specialists who continue to work alongside him. This level of experience develops the required knowledge and confidence to carry out complex and sensitive projects, including live site demolition, uninterrupted utility service demolition and power plant demolition.
Valuable assets that need careful removal prior to any facility dismantle / alteration have to be recovered by specialists who understand and respect what they are dealing with. Asset & Land has extensive experience in this sector, experience that is supported by highly-skilled teams, modern specialist plant and interim storage facilities to ensure that your valued assets are available for re-use. Asset & Land can deliver a turnkey solution from the initial site investigation, to the development of a robust plan of works through to implementation of the same, thus guaranteeing surety. Asset & Land has proved its competence in this sector and has developed a proactive relationship with the Environment Agency, such a relationship is an advantage when it comes to achieving regulatory approval for your scheme.
