STATEMENT OF INTENT A&L Recovery Group is fully committed to achieving and maintaining the highest standards in all areas of our business. Recognising it’s duties under section 2(3) of ‘The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974’ we aim to achieve a working environment which is free of work related accidents, incidents and ill health. To this end we will pursue continuous improvement from year to year and aim to integrate Safety, Health, Environment and Quality within all aspects of our work. This is recognised as industry best practice and to be in the best interests of all A&L Group Stakeholders including, employees, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, enforcement agencies, the public and future generations. Accordingly, A&L Group is committed to integrated policy which should be read in conjunction with this statement and which will be developed and implemented by: (a) Understanding and meeting in full, the standards imposed through all health, safety and environmental legislation, as well as our commitment to continuous improvement, in line with our IMS, developed to the requirements of OHSAS 18001: 2007, ISO 9001:2008 and ISO14001:2004. Reviewing both the risks associated with our processes and the development of new, and changes to, legislation, regulations and approved codes of practice, etc. (b) The continuous use of planned, effective and systematically documented processes, which identify, measure and achieve quality, whilst complying with the contractual requirements and expectations of our clients. (c) Working within the framework of an IMS to achieve our integrated goals. This includes the identification and evaluation of aspects, impacts and risks to establish and continually review our policies, objectives and targets. We strive to prevent accidents and pollution by identifying risks and setting performance standards appropriate with best practice. Our policies, objectives and targets are documented, implemented and available to all interested parties including the public. (d) Advise and encourage employees, clients, designers, sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure that sound health, safety, quality and environmental performance are established and criteria are taken into account in the design, selection and construction of new sites and the demolition of old. (e) Review regularly at Management Review Meetings, all aspects of the IMS including the policies, objectives and targets to assess continuing suitability and achieve measured continual improvement. (f) Communicate A&L’s commitment to health and safety and the reduction of our environmental impact by providing suitable and sufficient, information, instruction, supervision and training at all levels within the company to encourage, motivate and implement Industry Best Practice.
