SEATTLE WATERFRONT ARCH 609

Spring 2023

Located in Seattle, Washington the Seattle waterfront project aims to create an assembly house that can be utilized as a creative space that is integrated into the surrounding community. This building’s topographical changes allows for one cafe located on the ground floor of the building and a restaurant on the third, which doubles as a secondary entrance. The intention behind the design was to integrate the street scape from the first floor to the third, allowing for pedestrians to walk through the building.

In collaboration with Jimena Dorador

Project 01 SONIC BOOM

ARCH 608

Fall 2022

The location of the Studio 608 project was in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The objective being to revitalize the downtown core to shore area in order to make a positive impact on the community currently residing there as well as bringing in new residents. My specific site is located in a district that we have coordinated to be a family centered district focusing on the framework plan Oklahoma City would like to implement. I have chosen to develop a Multi-residential complex with a focus in family friendly entertainment in order to address the Play OKC core strategy. Located on the ground floor of the building are activities such as playgrounds, an arcade, rock climbing, and restaurants.

Project 03 GOLDEN FLOWER ARCH 208

Fall 2020

The bird hide project was to be placed in the Baker Wetlands located in Lawrence, Kansas. The intention was to utilize biomimicry in our structures in order to create a more meaningful experience. My site was based on the golden ratio, more specifically the golden ration in regards to a sunflower. Looking at the site location and topography was what led to the conclusion of where I located my pavilion. The projects main objective was to create a scenario where we, as the architects, were encouraged to manipulate the structure to interact with the sites topography.
