Helping Your Child Become Confident and Capable

FOR FOUNDATION – YEAR 4 PARENTS

In conjunction with Camberwell Girls Grammar School, we invite parents and guardians to attend a Parent Education Seminar with Dr Judith Locke on 26 March at Camberwell Girls Grammar School.

Dr Judith Locke is the Director of Confident and Capable®, an organisation specialising in delivering psychological ideas and solutions for parents, children, teachers, and other employees. Judith also provides clinical assistance for families and individuals in her private practice in Brisbane.

Judith’s psychological commentary features regularly in the media, including a weekly parenting column for The Sunday Mail. Judith is the author of two books, The Bonsai Child, and The Bonsai Student, the first of which has recently been published in China. She is a member of The Australian Psychological Society (APS) and a fellow of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.

This seminar will assist parents to adopt a parenting approach that truly builds their child(ren)’s resilience, wellbeing and competence, and will help parents assist their child(ren) to become more responsible for schoolwork, help them cope with school challenges and tricky emotions whilst safeguarding family harmony. There will be opportunities for questions throughout the session and Judith’s books will be available to purchase on the night.
