“Fabulous” Falls Creek Snowsports Family Week Monday 8 July to Friday 12 July (or Sunday 14 July see details below) Children’s Lift and Lesson Packages (unfortunately not for Adult’s) can be organised for both skiing and snowboarding at significantly reduced prices. This popular skiing and snowboarding week is once again being organised for the second week of the July school holidays at Falls Creek, the most reliable Victorian snow resort. NB. Statistically, over the last 20 years, the second week of the July School Holidays has been one of the best weeks of snow for the season. The week is open to children of all CGS families and their friends. Your actual involvement in programs, lessons and activities can be as little or as much as your family desires, but regardless of your involvement significant savings can be had. The week’s tuition is conducted by the Falls Creek Snowsports School. Some enjoyable social activities will also be happening for those who wish to attend. Siblings and children’s friends are most welcome to participate. Lift and Lesson Packages The lift and lesson package option usually follows the following format: Monday to Friday: A 1.5 hour lesson per day and a five-day lift ticket. The cost of a five-day lift and lesson package, for all students both primary and secondary, will be approximately $425 per student. The normal cost to the public for a similar child (6 to 17 years old) lift and lesson package is a minimum of $670. Therefore, this package being offered constitutes a significant saving on the usual cost for lift and lesson packages that can be bought “over the counter” at Falls Creek. Accommodation/Supervision Please note that students need to be accommodated with and be under the care and supervision of at least one parent, adult friend or guardian during the week. Accommodation needs to be individually organised by families attending and it is very much advisable to do this as soon as possible. Booking options are provided below. Please note that the cost varies widely depending on whether you want budget lodge style, through self-catered apartments to premium accommodation. Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July. If your son is going to be a member of the CGS Snowsports team this year and you will be attending Family Week in the week prior, then you will need to consider this when making your accommodation booking i.e. you will need to book for this weekend as well as the five days. Consequently, 7-day lift and lesson packages will be available in addition to the original 5-day option. Alternatively, if you are NOT going to be part of the CGS Snowsports team this year and you wish to stay for the weekend, you are also be able to take advantage of the 7-day lift and lesson package, and then your family may choose to participate in some fun racing activities that will be organised in conjunction with the race trials. The cost of the seven-day lift and lesson package will be approximately $520. The normal cost to the public for a similar child (6 to 17 years old) lift and lesson package is a minimum of $905. 1
