Zoey Spengler | Career Preparation Coach The job market is ever-evolving, and so are the methods of applying, interviewing, and securing a new career. For job seekers, it is important to stay ahead of the changes within this area. This course prepares prospective applicants (new or experienced) to enter the job market. Topics include: Job searching (proper methods for applications, including Linkedin etiquette and setting up notifications); Resume building from top to bottom (dos and don’ts, and what companies are looking for); Defining your skills and specializations (What sets you apart from other applicants?); Various strength-finder assessments to pinpoint areas of interest and to find career fit and style; Interview preparation; How to negotiate a salary; and how to balance multiple offers (timing, resignations, and start dates). It is recommended that students bring their own laptop.

INTRODUCTION TO MODERN WEB DESIGN
Rob Reed | M.S., Computer Science, IT and Web Developer You can publish content on the web without knowing much about the technology itself. That isn’t what this class is about. This is an in-depth course on the fundamentals of modern web design, primarily HTML and CSS, with emphasis on responsive design practices. Not a cursory overview, we’ll start from the beginning, building up our knowledge of the components of these languages, and layering on the techniques necessary to work toward becoming competent, effective web designers. This is a beginner-friendly course. No prior knowledge is required.

PROGRAMMING WITH JAVASCRIPT

It is intended to be a beginner’s programming class, and as such will cover fundamentals of programming common to all languages and areas of interest. We’ll discuss JS in two contexts, the web browser and the Node.js JavaScript runtime environment. Our goal will be to cover a useful amount of JavaScript, while also laying a strong foundation for those wanting to continue on with programming as a hobby or career. No prior knowledge is required.

INTRODUCTION TO SKETCHUP
Steven Santosuosso | Interior Designer SketchUp is a free 3D digital modeling program used by architects, interior designers, product designers, and sculptural artists. 3D rendering can be used for interior design, product visualization, and even 3D printing. We will learn fundamental concepts and techniques, including modeling, inferencing, and styling, to create 3D models of both real life objects and the construction of a 3D birdhouse.

HOW TO MAKE AN ESTATE PLAN
