What is the Immerse Education Global Scholars initiative? The Immerse Global Scholars initiative offers a select number of international schools the opportunity to award scholarships directly to students who would benefit from an intensive pre-university insights programme. Schools need to apply to be a Global Scholars school via our entry form and include a short statement letting us know why they believe they should be chosen.
The global scholars initiative is designed to give teachers the chance to grant scholarships to deserving students so that they can take part in one of our Immerse summer programmes in June or July. Further information about our programmes is contained in this brochure for your information.
Awarding Schools If your school is selected for the Global Scholars initiative, our committee will allocate your school a number of scholarships to award your students. We give up to 50% of the value of the programme fee for at least 2 students to each of our Global Scholars school's. A total of 20 schools from across the world will be selected to participate in this initiative. Established in 2012, Immerse Education has welcomed thousands of motivated and eager students, aged 13-18 from around the world to our award-winning pre-university academic programmes. Our educational programmes provide unparalleled insight into what it is like to study a subject at world-leading universities such as Oxford and Cambridge. We are passionate about delivering fully immersive experiences where participants are challenged to grow academically while developing 21st-century skills.

Global Citizenship & 21st Century Skills
When students embark on an Immerse summer programme they discover what it means to be a global citizen. Participants will share their experiences with students from around the world, engaging in a range of academic and social experiences that allow them to articulate their opinions, ideas and beliefs while listening to the viewpoints of others. Students will be challenged to collaborate, communicate, create and critically think, independently and with their peers, in discussions and activities, personal projects and the range of social activities available throughout the Immerse programme.

Academic Insights
Cambridge & Oxford Ages 13-15 & 16-18
Our most traditional, academically challenging and well-known programme is based in Oxford and Cambridge. Participants will live and learn like an undergraduate at one of the most famous universities in the world. Participants will enjoy living independently in our designated student accommodation, alongside learning in traditional lecture halls and classrooms. Students will be challenged academically with opportunities to partake in practical work and benefit from a range of social and cultural activities to learn more about life as an undergraduate.

Career Insights
London Ages 13-15 & 16-18
A programme designed to allow participants to explore hands-on industry work in their field of interest. Career Insights is a unique blend of theory and practical, involving students in field trip experiences that will allow them to explore the professions they are considering entering when they graduate. This programme is a great opportunity for students to explore career prospects and learn from expert industry professionals about the day to day work and responsibilities in their field.

Female Future Leaders Cambridge & Oxford Ages 16-18
A unique course designed for young women to explore their voice, knowledge and skills in the world of female leadership. Participants enjoy gaining university insight on a range of topics with female peers from around the globe. Students will appreciate the variety of subjects they are able to encounter on our Female Future Leaders programme which allows them to learn about the different professions and academic pathways available to them.
This is a female only course.

Online Programmes Global Programmes | Ages 13-18
Online Insights
Worldwide Ages 13-15 & 16-18
With Online Insights, participants will explore a subject of interest with peers from around the world. Much like Academic Insights, students will learn with tutors from world-leading universities and be challenged academically through instruction, engaging activities and while developing a personal project. Students will also gain the opportunity to partake in social activities and learn from mentors currently partaking in undergraduate study at Oxford or Cambridge.

Oxbridge Online Research Programme
Worldwide Ages 13-15 & 16-18
The Oxbridge Online Research Programme is designed to support students one-to-one while they complete a university-level research project. Participants will choose a topic of interest, learn how to research their topic effectively, and complete a project designed to consolidate and demonstrate their knowledge and understanding developed throughout the programme. Students will benefit from the personalized and detailed feedback given by their tutors at the end of the course.

"Being at Cambridge was an experience like no other. I loved living in the city and the college itself was gorgeous. I chose to attend this programme because I wanted to develop my abilities in coding and see whether I could handle the challenges of computer science. Immerse Highlights Supportive Team Our supportive team are on hand to support participants 24-hours a day. Mentors share their own experience studying at top universities with inspirational energy while also creating a fun and safe environment in which participants can thrive. Our summer team receives extensive training and all staff pass the strictest safeguarding checks (the UK Government Enhanced DBS Check).
Inspiring Locations Participants will experience studying in inspirational environments such as The University of Cambridge. Since its establishment in 1209, the University of Cambridge has educated countless eminent academics and personalities in its beautiful and historic colleges. Participants follow in their footsteps nurturing their academic skills while gaining a unique insight into what undergraduate life is like in one of the United Kingdom’s most inspiring academic surroundings.
Expert Tutors Our programmes are designed by expert tutors who are passionate about sharing their subject with others. Advanced academic content is adapted to individual interests and abilitities so that every participant is challenged to explore their own potential. Our exceptional academic tutors are at the heart of our programmes. With extensive experience teaching students at universities such as Cambridge, Oxford and Harvard, each tutor combines their enthusiasm and unique subject expertise to create a rich programme of academic discovery. With a maximum of only 12 students in each class, tutors are able to provide highly personalised feedback both during and after the programme.
