TOTAL DEPENDENCE ON GOD
Facebook: Deborah Cherey Brandon Instagram: @Deborah Cherey Brandon Greater Love Worship Centre Church, Sisters United For Purpose Inc.
My advice DEPEND TOTALLY ON GOD!!! Sometimes as new leaders, we have a hard time adjusting to the gift of our ministry and often we find ourselves questioning God about whether or not we are truly equipped to handle the oil of the assignment God has given us.
TOP TIPS: TRUST GOD COMPLETELY!
"And God is able to make all grace abound TRUST THE GOD IN YOU! toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 2 Cor. 9:8
BE LED BY the HOLY SPIRIT!
STUDY THE WORD OF GOD CONTINUOUSLY! FAST AND PRAY! REST IN THE LORD!
My experience BUT GOD!!! Ministry is rewarding but it can also be very hard! I personally struggled in ministry for years because I thought that if I would just allow the Holy Spirit to teach all things through me that the sheep would be receptive. This is not always the case! What I quickly learned was that a lot of sheep want some of the Word but not all of the Word. They want the happy feelgood messages but frown upon the loving admonishment messages.
As a leader, we are held accountable for teaching the sheep the unadulterated Word of God. We mustn't; water it down, add to it, twist it, or reduce it to please the people! Our hearts must always be to glorify our Father Jesus Christ. I thank God that during these hard times of persecution, He never leaves or forsakes us!
Remember God pre-ordained all of this in the Heavens!
All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16 -

RACHAEL OLUWAGBEMISOLA OLALEYE My advice Seek and know God’s mind towards your ordination. Ascertain that you’re in God’s perfect will and have a word from Him that you’ll hold on to on your ministerial journey. It surely will help a lot.
TOP TIPS: Study and meditate on the Word of God in prayers.
My experience Growing up as a young lady, I always sensed and knew that there was a call of God on my life. I gave my life to Christ as a teenager. I loved serving God with my gifts and talents. So it didn’t come entirely as a surprise when I was ordained. I’ve been in ministry for more than 30 years now and it has been fulfilling and challenging all at the same time. The conviction that I’m on the right path has kept me going throughout the years.
Waiting and staying in God's Presence will preserve you in Ministry. Make sure that you continue to spend time alone with God frequently to refresh and equip yourself.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint Isaiah 40:29-31

TOP TIPS:
Make time for yourself!
Make time to spend with the Lord in your fast paced life. Preach authentic, God given sermons through your own study time.
Have a strong support system
When you think using someone else’s sermons goes unnoticed, someone notices. Study for yourself and be led by the Holy Spirit. This is when you will see the greatest impact manifested.
PASTOR HOPE DREW
No matter how difficult the journey may become or how lonely you may feel, don’t quit. There is someone out there depending on you to continue fulfilling God’s call on your life.

My advice Know without any doubt that you have been called by God for such a time as this and your gender does not negate the great anointing on your life to teach and preach the word of God. If you don’t already have it, pray that God would give you “thick skin” to endure the plethora of man made issues you will encounter concerning women in leadership roles.
You are the only one that can meet their need. Keep pressing forward!
My experience Major growth and development in my Pastoral role has been gained through . experience, In trying to find balance between my full time job and ministry. I have gained some knowledge, but I am still learning how to bring balance between the two; all while seeking for “down” time for my spiritual, mental, and emotional well being. Take time out for you because if not you will produce ineffectiveness in all aspects of your life.
Don't try to imitate anyone else’s anointing. Be the best you that God created YOU to be! We are not in spiritual competition and know you have nothing to prove to man when you have God’s approval. -

PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH
There is much to learn about ministry Be patient because we will not learn everything overnight Our expectations are always in Christ and never in people! As God elevates you to positions or you accept certain roles in or outside of the place where you worship; do not expect people to help you just because they helped the previous person that was in that role. God will direct you on who will need to be on your team and He will send you the help that is needed to complete the task He wants you to do.
“Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift” Matthew 5: 23-24
KENA JONES
EXPECTATION
Kenajones3@gmail.com Facebook: Kena Jones As women in Christ we walk in spiritual maturity. Disagreements will come but the way we handle them makes the difference. After the discussion has taken place sometimes people walk away having an ought against. You will think the problem has been rectified but the next time you see the person they may try to avoid you or be ugly with their words. You are not going to catch every little sign the relationship is broken but once you realize it, do something about it. Some people wear their feelings on their shoulders, you don’t. Go to your brother or sister in love do not expect them to come to you to address what has offended them.
meant it. Going to the person first does not make you weak it is a sign of maturity and we do not walk in pride. Do not expect people to meet a standard you are not willing to meet yourself.
Often, I see leaders wanting the people to be on time, be professional, walk in the fruit of the spirit, show love, etc. How can they if you are not demonstrating those things too? Sometimes the people do what they see their leaders do. The Bible is always the standard. We do not lower the bar for people to meet it. We encourage them to come up. Practice what you preach and do not deviate from what God gives you just because some may not have a standard.
As leaders, we show others the correct way of handling confrontation. We do not leave each other broken, discouraged or in despair. Reconcile, ask for forgiveness. Asking for forgiveness doesn’t mean you are wrong. You may have to bring clarity to what has transpired. It doesn’t matter if you are right or wrong. What you say may not have been received in the intent you

MINISTER ALBERTINA
THE CALL MUST BE FROM THE LORD
My advice Anyone that’s new to ministry is to be very sure that they have been called by God. Man can encourage and teach you, but the call must be from the Lord. Once you accept the call, there is no turning back. Please live what you're teaching and let your life show God working in you. Remember: when you wear a collar it’s not for show. Always respect the calling and gift that’s been placed within you.

CANON SUE
FAITHFUL TO THE CALL
@PrecentorSue Canon Sue’s creative liturgy blog http://suewallace.blogspot.comPrecentor Sue’s blog http://precentorsue.blogspot.com
My advice Don’t wait until you feel qualified or experienced or worthy enough to minister. Just be faithful to whatever God is calling you to today, and trust that he will give you the gifts you need on that day. My experience I was ordained in 2006, and have worked for the church since 1992. I worked for a cathedral for five years until 2019 as a Precentor (priest in charge of worship at the cathedral). I now work promoting Fresh Expressions and creative worship within the Church of England. PRACTICAL Tip Tops Don’t let anyone tell you you cannot wear lipstick when you do communion services. 24 hour superstay lipstick does not rub off onto the chalice and looks great. It also helps older people “hear” better as they can read your lips more easily. If you are doing outdoor services (burials or services with the armed forces) wear hairspray even if you don’t normally. It will stop your hair blowing away in the wind. Some people tell clergy they can’t wear high heels or smart shoes in church because they make “clip-clop” noises on hard floors. But you can still wear heels and walk silently on hard floors. You simply throw the weight onto the ball of your foot before placing your heel down and you can then look very smart without disturbing someone who is praying quietly.

MAKE SURE GOD GETS THE GLORY ALWAYS Evangelist and Asst. Pastor of Faith Hope & Love Bible Church, Richardson TX Ennyjay@sbcglobal.net Facebook @FHLbiblechurch
My advice Make sure in Ministry that you have heard the voice of God and He has appointed you. Some times we listen to others and they push us to do something we are not ready to do, so when we are unexpectedly put on the platform, we question our calling. Remember we can minister the Word anytime and anyplace. Study and seek the Lord for everything and make sure He gets the glory always.

Don’t let others define you. Listen to what others say, then trust yourself and God’s prompting. Memorise key Bible quotes to bring to mind when faced by naysayers. Surround yourself with mentors and colleagues to whom you can turn when you have questions.
Never stop studying and growing towards excellence. Don’t worry about the moments when you seem lost in the wilderness. Don’t doubt in the dark what you knew to be true in the light. Just put one step after the other. -

BE CAREFUL WHO LAYS HANDS ON YOU
My experience Though I have managed to find Protestants and Catholics many generations back in my family tree, I grew up in a family tradition of intellectual atheists in a tradition where organized religion was anathema. There were times I really didn’t know the path forward. Even so, guidance always appeared at the right time. For example, I left one seminary that didn’t fit, without first knowing where I’d ultimately study and ended up in a wonderful program on transformational leadership for the global city. I needed to consider which tradition I wanted to follow as a minister. During my chaplaincy training at Stanford, I raised this question with my advisor. He warned me to “be careful who lays hands on you,” referring to the moment of ordination where a tradition comes alive in you. I took that advice to heart, and after much soul searching I decided I wanted to be a Baptist, like my mentor Rev. Dr. Ray Bakke and my heroes Martin Luther King, former U.S. President James Earl “Jimmy” Carter and former U.S. First Lady Rosalynn Carter.

Life’s like a labyrinth walk: Sometimes you feel you’re going the wrong direction when you’re really still making progress. Sometimes you feel others you love are moving away from you when they’re just a little ahead or behind, turning corners at different times. Take heart. Walk in beauty. And always remember that you are a beloved child of God - fearfully and wonderfully made - and that God’s help is ever present… as near to you as your very breath. My advice Follow God’s calling even if it’s not the traditional “run a church” model. Don’t be afraid to say no to any given path if it’s not a fit, even if this stops you in your tracks for a while. Stay open to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and the way forward will reveal itself in due time.If you are still studying for the ministry and you feel a pull in an offbeat direction for which there is no specific training offered, don’t be afraid to ask your advisor if you can work in a tailored independent study. Because I did that to study eMinistry I have a firmer foundation in this area than I would have had otherwise.

PREACH IN STYLE
REV. GLORIA GADDY
SPEAK THE TRUTH NO MATTER THE TEST My advice Being an Ordained Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ has given me the opportunity to share with those who are in ministry as well as those who do not yet know their calling. I promise, if you will yield yourself to the Lord and put your own selfish needs aside, God will use you to do many wonderful works.
Be yourself. remember God called you, not man.
Be prepared, study, read and re-read, pray and pray more before speaking. Be on time and respect those in authority at all times. Have fun even in a serious moment, I find laughter does the body good with a smile. Be considerate of time management. Speak up and know when it’s time to close. Remember to say thank you and always be grateful.
-
Keep a strong prayer life; with self, family and anyone who may come into your space. Read and study the bible daily. Memorize scripture and allow your self to read other books that relate to life lessons , written by those who are inspired by God. Have the spirit of love for everyone. You cannot do for others if you don’t do for yourself first. Take care of yourself physically. Be able to say no. Speak the truth no matter the test, always being mindful of that. My experience This is my purpose and it’s being developed through life experiences. When I prepare to speak I go into secret prayer with God, listening with an open mind to make necessary changes if needed in order to deliver God’s Word to help others (disciple don’t try to save). God has a destiny for us all. Accept detours that might be necessary to reach those who do not know the Lord, but will hear the word and cause them to turn to Christ. Always being mindful of the opportunities to learn, grow and develop. Being available to serve.

www.phyllistrafton.com (Overcomers Network) Facebook: Phyllis Trafton Minister, Author, Speaker, CEO/Founder of Phyllis Trafton's Overcomers Network Mentor, Preacher & Teacher Instagram: @holdsitdown Twitter: @PhyllisTrafton
My advice Make sure you stay humble. Walk worthy of the position and remember in all that you do make sure you are committed to doing it as unto the Lord. I find that in church, titles can make one think that they are "entitled" to things and that they have arrived. Stay humble!! My experience The people look to you instead of looking to Jesus! We as ministers of this glorious gospel have to always point them back to Him. People will put leaders on a pedestal and if we're not careful we'll want to stay on that seat! Always, always point them back to Christ. Tip Tips Continue in weekly fasting and prayer.Seek the Lord about His will for ministry and where you fit into that. When dealing with His people always speak in love even if you have to correct them, but don't shrink back. If you see something, say something.Protect you house Leader (Pastor) People look at the leaders to see if we are going in the same direction as the Pastor.Don't stop learning. RUNAWAY MINISTER
My name is Maureen Morgan not yet ordained, been in church since 1994 knew I was called to be a minister. But never wanted a “Title”.
I loved behind the scenes, hiding my light under a bushel, being a bench warmer sitting at the back, having gifts and talents and burying them.
Imagine being in church on the run for 25 years 7 months and 6 days, running from God and myself, and running from the divine call.
“For the gifts and calling are without repentance.” Romans 11:29
“Call unto me and I will show you great and mighty things that you know not.” Jeremiah 33:3
I was very quiet, petrified of the unknown, too frightened to hear what God had to say or go where He sent me. I was on the run because I feared speaking to people.
As a new-born again Christian I’ve had numerous prayers, and prophetic words confirming the call. But I was not ready due to being immature spiritually. I didn’t want to talk to God or have a title and all the responsibilities that came with it. But as the years went by, I realised I could teach, evangelise, pray, quote scriptures and verses off the top of my head, but in my opinion, I was not in a spiritual place of maturity to lead anyone to Christ.
I hid in the crowd, but God always put me under the spotlight especially when I travelled to the States. I would be called out time and time again. “You’re a minister?” I would say, “No.” Well, I see minister all over you come sit at the front. I could not hide. God gave me the ability to write poetry and with that He propelled me to the forefront where I had no other option but to recite poetry at events.
My viewpoint on church over the years, I thought was to listen to the sermon preached then go home. I never knew the Christian walk required my involvement as well to encourage others to get saved. I was never a talkative person or front stage person. I feared being in the limelight, preferred to stay in the background.
-
I know I must be set apart and under the covering of God and the church, I cannot go into the world without God’s divine authority to serve. I am currently going through the leadership training at my church and the ordination will be official 2020.

THE FIRST HOUSE OF ILONA DRESS
My experience I became a minister at around 26 years old after many years of working in ministry, my pastor made the recommendation for me to become a Minister. It was not something I wanted initially, in fact I would normally run from this kind of office, simply because I have a servants heart and my main focus was to serve I didn't need a title. However, being married to someone who was in ministry, I realised this would compliment him and I had my own conviction. My first thought when it came to wearing clergy attire was “no way!” However, I have a wonderful friend who caught my vision and designed my first clergy dress which has been a massive success in her life and mine. Thank you House of ilona.

FUNNY STORIES
Extracts from our Facebook page www.facebook.com/houseofilonaclergy
One day I was gong to work and noticed I needed to get gas. I stopped into the gas station, pulled up to the pump and got out of the car to swipe my card. When I got out of the car, I felt something at my feet, IT WAS MY Skirt!!! It had come undone while driving and I didn't notice (wrap skirt). Nervous and embarrassed I attempted to pick the skirt up but kept dropping it. So here I am, standing at the gas pump in my jacket, hose and pumps. Jacket wasnt long enough to cover undies. I was panicking, I could see cars going up and down
the highway, I started praying, "Lord, please don't let anyone see me, especially my Co workers". So I attempted to open the car door to get in so I could put my skirt back on, the car door was locked!! What? I had to go around to the other side to get in the car! What a morning. Got in the car, put the skirt back on and thought to myself, should I go home or get out again to pump the gas. After praying, I got out to pump the gas. I went in the gas station to get a snack and immediately, the cashier smiled really big and said "that is a

BEAUTIFUL... skirt!" We both laughed, I was so embarrassed. So I get to work, I'm in the cafeteria and someone is laughing, with a very county accent they say "Melonie, those were some pretty panties you had on standing at the gas pump this morning!" I was so embarrassed I put my tray down and ran out. Everyone was laughing hahahaha! My coworkers did not let me live that down. Wheewww thank God for a new day! Got to be more careful hahaha. Melonie
Every time something happens with my kids good or bad, I tell them, "come here and let me pray for you" no matter what it is. If they say they hurt their finger if they say they had a good day, I always pick with them, I say "let me pray for you". So we were in Walmart and they kept asking for candy and I said you guys are driving me crazy in this checkout line. So when we got to the cashier my 4 year old son goes "maam can you pray for my mama before she go crazy!" I was so embarrassed. Monica
FUNNY STORIES I was teaching a New Member’s class for the children in grade school and I remember telling them that you can find Jesus in the Bible. One of the little boys became very excited, opened up his Bible and said, “Really? What page?” Lorna
While working in a Scottish island congregation, heavily pregnant with our fourth child and officiating a funeral. Only four folk were attending the funeral besides me, son of the late mother, daughter-in-law, Funeral director and assistant. It had rained heavily the night before, making the earth very crumbly. As the four lowered the coffin the son slipped and fell right into the grave. There I was: a minister, with a huge belly trying to pull him out under the coffin. He started to laugh and said: "My mom loved jokes and loved to prank other folk. That's just her style, up to the end." Miriam
I was at a drive thru restaurant and was wearing my clergy shirt with collar and the girl asked me if she should call me Father? Believe when I say...I don't look like a man...lol...I continue to giggle about her question. Michelle Extracts from our Facebook page www.facebook.com/houseofilonaclergy
One Wednesday I was running late for bible study and I was hurrying I put on my knee high stocking and rush out the door. The pastor called for us to come around the altar. As I was standing their my pastor kept looking at my feet and then he asked "is everyone ok are there any special prays?" So when I got home I was wondering why he was looking at my feet so I sat on my bed to see and yes there was something wrong I had one blue stocking on and one brown stocking on. I laughed at my own self. Katherine -

WHAT WE LOVE LOVE ABOUT CHRISTMAS First of all, I love the reason for the season, Jesus. I love the genuine spirit of giving that sometimes people forget. I love giving my time to those in need, whether they are homeless or elderly. I don't have a fortune but I know giving my time and talents are valuable as well. I love being with my family as we eat, love on each other, watch sports, and tell funny stories. LaToya I love the giving part. I love to use this time of year, (which is my favourite), to give something to others. It doesn't have to be a lot, just something to make them smile. Jennifer
Christmas is a time when we as Christians get to stick our little chest out and smile because the name of our Lord and Savior is everywhere and on everyone's lip. Kathleen
I love that no matter who you are or your background, love is being spread. People truly go out their way to show love. Cabrina I love the reminders of focusing on Christ instead of the traps we fall in that create unnecessary anxiety, anger, frustration, etc. Once we rid ourselves of this, we can receive true joy, peace, and love. YOUTH MINISTRY The morning after service, I greeted people as they left and a little girl shakes my hand and then comes back and gives me a hug. Best day ever! Denise As Associate Pastor, I wear a lot of hats and one of my most precious hats is Youth Pastor. There was a girl that was having issues at home. She was in and out of detention homes and one teen session I taught how we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. About a month later she told me things were better at her home and I asked her how did God turn it around, she said "God turned my attitude around!" Now her mom is also saved through her daughter, that makes it all worth it! Mai I'm a Pastor, and my youth department have been focusing on our youth population. We planned a service where the adults served the youth. We had a open forum for our youth to speak out about social media, teen pressure, self esteem and bullying. Our youth developed posters; one side stated what they struggled with and the other side stated how God delivered them from their struggles. This service called "Church Not As Usual" converted multiple youth to Christ Jesus. Jackqueline

DIVINE ENCOUNTER We baptized a 94 year old man, by full immersion. The main opposition to his commitment was from his son and daughter (in their 60/70's) who could not understand his actions. This man faithfully took a bus from his village about 12 miles from the church twice a week to attend Church and Bible study. He testified that one night as he went to sleep he saw a bright light in the corner of his room in a place where there was no electric light or power sockets. This light was so bright and white it was overwhelming, he knew instantly that this was The Lord. His prayer and action was to give his life to God and follow Jesus, he knew that the Holy Spirit was at work. He continued to feel loved until the Lord took him home. This wonderful man knew that no one is too old to serve The Lord and his testimony was a witness to the work of God in fullness. It was an honor to serve and baptize such a wonderful man of God. Praise The Lord. Janet

SINGLE MOTHER After one year of not having a place of my own, battling with my past and trying to be a mother to three beautiful children. I was working hard and feeling as if I was getting nowhere. God turned my tragedy into a strategy: I prayed, heard instruction, built my faith and built a closer bond with God. My God worked behind the scenes and out did Himself! Great news... HEALING
I was in a bad place in life. Depressed. Tattooed my self just to feel Pain. I was abused throughout my whole life, on 18 medications for PTSD, as well as a host of other illnesses because of them. One day I found out my stomach stopped digesting food, my kidneys and liver had damage because of all the medications I was on. I had to withdraw off all of the medications in order to save my life. The Pain was so bad I would just cried. I was a Christian from childhood but was far from the Lord. One night, the pain was so bad mentally and physically I was wanting to end my life. I Screamed Out "Lord I can't do this anymore why did you even make me, I can't even Pray." Well I felt him right there. He walked into my life and Now not only am I Totally Healed I am now in Deliverance Ministry and am starting classes to be a volunteer Chaplin. I have skin that looks like a coloring book but the Lord has used them to tell a story to all who try to judge me. That HE Saved even a wretch like me, because I was Lost but now I am found! I Praise You Jesus. Jenice Pam’s response Praise the Lord!! You have the ability to reach many that others can't because our story is un-relatable. God blessed you to have and wear your own "Coat of many Colors." Joesph's rise was full of highs and lows but he changed the lives of those around him on his journey to change nations. Remain blessed and a living testimony!! Jenice continued... I shared my Testimony now I would like to share my Ministry Testimony! The Lord moved me fast in Ministry. God brought to me a woman that didn't really talk; only YES and NO. She lived in Iowa, I live in Arizona. She had been tortured from age 3. The enemy had muted her with fear. She was so terrified that she would literally hang up the phone when you asked her a question. I was obedient because I knew the Lord had a purpose for us meeting on Facebook. I started Skyping with her, it was a challenge to get her even to get on Skype. I had to talk to her over and over again. Just for 10 minutes, but 10 minutes turned into 20 and that turned into days and that turned into weeks and now, through Jesus, she has been saved and delivered. Yesterday she went out of her house for Christmas shopping. She has not been out of her house in months. Her words where; she felt lighter and loved for the first time in her life. I am blessed that the Lord has chosen me to spread His message and use me to lead the lost to His Grace and Glory. All praise to the most high.

testimony time There are some Saturday nights I have to work overnight and I go directly to church afterwards. I'm a Registered Nurse in addition to being an Associate Minister at my church.
POWER OF PRAYER
I remember I worked the night before Thanksgiving and we had a morning Thanksgiving service. I was thinking I would miss service because I was tired from a patient that was really sick (cancer) and she was going down fast. She had a daughter that stayed at her side and was somewhat scared and throughout the night we formed a bond and she eventually told me "don't let me be by myself when momma dies" I told her I wouldn't.
Two Sunday's ago a man entered our worship service who was mentally ill. We get those visits periodically; whether it's drug or alcohol induced or just simply sick. When they come they are always a distraction and for some reason they always come down to the front.
This patient and her daughter were so heavy on my heart that I went to church and helped with service in the pulpit. Pastor told me to pray and in that prayer I felt the glory of God come in and I remember praying for bereaved families and families in transitional moments.
He walked in with a long robe on, talking, hands lifted, going from person to person. He pulls the robe off, he has on a suit no shirt, he walked, he put the robe back on. By this time the officers and men got on guard.
I went back to work that night and we could tell the patient would be going at any time, the daughter asked for a Chaplain and I told her I could page the one on call but I was unsure if they were in-house. I asked was there anything in particular she wanted and she said prayer for my Momma. I told her I was a preacher and if it was okay with her, I would do it and she said "look at God, I wanted you to do it but didn't know if I should ask". We went in the room and made a circle holding hands and touching her mom. At the end of the prayer her mom took her last breath. The daughter and I magnified God for Divine placement. My testimony is; God chose me for that moment, He set us up to be a blessing to one another.
The Holy Spirit says to me; "Pray" I immediately remember the man who brought his child to Jesus because of the unclean spirit, so I bowed my head, closed my eyes, (took my eyes off of him) and I prayed for that spirit to come under the subjection of the Holy Spirit, we didn't need the distraction, we needed the Word! I prayed and prayed and when I opened my eyes again he had left the building. So often we fail to use the Power of Prayer. Before I got the urge, I surveyed the congregation and everyone was watching the man, including me! The Holy Spirit directed my eyes to see that. Worshipping had ceased and He spoke to me as if it was the person next me "y'all should be praying!" So pray I did and He answered. Then presence of the Holy Spirit became thick during the Pastor's message! CylaÂ
At the time I was going through one of those moments thinking "does God still want to use me?" and the daughter needed to know that He had heard her prayers for a peaceful transition in His timing. He answered us both and revealed His glory right before our eyes. To God be all the Glory for the things He has done. Katrina

God had to knock me down in order to bring me up. Being talked about, lied on and my reputation tarnished. I was in a position where women ministers were not accepted. I was trying to love a man who loved me but wasn't in love with me, a child with ADHD and dealing with the death of my Dad, my whole world was falling apart. Then some crazy woman was trying to work roots and witchcraft on me, on my way home from class I wrecked the only vehicle I had. The enemy threw all this at me daily and tried to get me to commit suicide. I had a praying GRANDMA WHO TAUGHT ME HOW TO CALL ON THE NAME OF JESUS. One night in revival, the woman of God called me out and told me to "get it together, stop crying, because if they talked about JESUS CHRIST you're no better than Him they gonna talk about you as long as you live. Get up and back into that Anointing that God placed on your life!" I did that! I made history at my church by being the first female to preach in the history of a church that is over a 150 years old. The battle hasn't been easy but by the Grace of God I made it. They said my son would never graduate high school, well, he did. They said I would never amount to anything, well, I did. I take no credit. My dad got killed in March and I preached my initial sermon June 10th of 2000. He promised me that he would be there, that was hard, but I did it. I could go on and on and I hope that this will bless another Sista to keep reaching for higher heights! Deborah God has given me the Spirit of Intercession. I pray for those that I am in direct contact with and my brothers and sisters afar. A young lady that I worked with had been troubled and I could feel it. She walked off the job 3 years ago without a word. Prayers never ceased to go up for her. One Sunday before entering the church I heard someone calling my name; praise God it was her and she looked well. She said "thank you Mia, I could feel you praying for me." God always answers; I had been praying to see her. Mia

CALL TO MINISTRY To be completely honest, this time last year I was in a completely different state of mind. I was so hurt by ministry and people who used and abused me that I didn't want anything else to do with the church. A friend who saw my pain reached out and talked me into coming to church with her. I really didn't want nothing to do with her church. I loved God but at the time I didn't like his people but nonetheless I ended up going. To God be the glory I joined this church in February I have not missed a Sunday since I stepped foot in the door and I am completely healed and delivered, through Jesus Christ, from the mistreatment of my past hurt. I completely love and adore the people at my church and I have forgiven the people who treated me bad, I pray for them every night and I truly love them with the love of God!❤ I truly never thought I would be where I am today in Ministry and I thank God, He gets all the Glory! POWER OF COMMUNITY My dad passed away almost three years ago, but he spent the last year of his life in an assisted living and memory care facility. While I was in seminary, I volunteered there to fulfill some of my practicum hours. Now, as a newly ordained minister, I continue to spend time there serving the residents, filling in for their paid chaplain when he is on vacation. As a ministry of love, I volunteer because so many kind people ministered to my dad in his last days, and I think everyone deserves that same comfort. Mary I had asked my Pastor if I could start a clothing give-away. He approved. One lady had 6 children that came all the time. About 7 months after, she started coming to church. She gave a testimony on how she had lost her job and for 2 years struggled, but the church had helped her by providing clothes! It was a much needed cause, she was most grateful. I am no longer at that church, but she is still in that church and is in Ministry!! Elizabeth

She was there for me when I was at my wits end. In spite of all of her challenges, including health challenges, she continues to stand strong for Christ. I celebrate her today and will always appreciate her.
YLSSELERIT
INSPIRES ME MORE THAN SHE KNOWS WITH HER KIND WORDS AND MOST OF ALL HER RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
&
She displays Grace even when her demeanor could be otherwise. Smiles even when her heart is breaking. Gives beyond her last breathe. Loves above and then some. Walks in and carries her anointing carefully.
YLHSIFLESNU
If ever you were to come in contact with her you would never be the same. Her spiritual energy resonates Christ. As I watch her teach, preach and counsel she truly exemplifies the characteristics of one who stays before the Lord!
A true intercessor and friend Titus 2 woman! As young woman with small children, my husband and I answering the call to ministry, God sent her to me to train and teach me how to balance instead of juggle everything. I praise God for her.
THIS WOMAN RIGHT HERE
She continued to hold fast to her calling and boldly preached the word of God as she was called to do. Defying the odds. It is because of her and women like her; that women called into the ministry are welcomed with open arms in the churches in our little town
INSPIRES ME IN EVERY WAY
She has been a true anointed Woman of God, that goes out of her way to be a servant for God. She always encourages me to be strong in any task at hand. Not only is she my Pastor but she is my life coach! She teaches us a whole lot. I love this woman
SHE GIVES TIRELESSLY AND UNSELFISHLY A MOTHER TO THE NATIONS SHE GIVES SELFLESSLY CONTINUOUSLY POURING INTO OTHER'S!
SHE'S SUCH A BLESSING
What people are saying about Women of God.Â

...because of her kindness, gentleness, love, support and passion for women and ministry! She inspires me to keep going, to get up, arise and be me!
I have grown tremendously due to her training and more importantly her love for God's people
SHE KEEPS IT REAL!
A praying woman who has missed sleep countless nights and has cried out for many souls. I love you so much. I thank God for you being in my life. You have no idea how much your love is appreciated

Be Still My Soul Peter did the impossible! He walked on water WITH Jesus. When he took his FOCUS off of the one who made the impossible possible he began to sink. Peter is now in our cloud of witness, cheering us on in our faith walk. Will we learn from his example? No matter how much the storm rages around us, let's keep our eyes fixed on the miracle worker. Let's make it all the way to Jesus so we can find out what happens next... Maybe we take off running on the water WITH JESUS! by Camelle Daley -

LORNA WILSON
A FRIEND, A SISTER ONE OF MY DEAR CLIENTS As I have stated before the House of ilona collection is much more than a beautiful garment. The designs are anointed by God and they serve as a witness of the God we serve and represent.
Lorna Wilson will be sorely missed by me personally! We had never met but she replied almost all of our weekly emails.
Just as the Jewish people are identified with their clothing, House of ilona garments are noticed by people and serve as a witness. Many time I receive complements about the style and fit of the garments that are suited especially for clergy women. But more than that, people who may not be Christians have approached me in the store and this many times opens up the opportunity to witness the gospel of Christ.
She wasn't just a client she became a friend, sister, prayer partner and confidant. She was recovering from surgery the last time we corresponded and I was rocked when I heard of her passing but I know she is no longer in pain but resting in the arms of Jesus.
Besides that, the garments are a witness in themselves and anointed. When I wear them I am not only representing the designer I am representing the God I serve by making a "fashion statement".
She is now in our cloud of witness Women of God; she is advocating for us, she is asking the Father to let His will be done as she now sees it clearly in Heaven.
Sometimes people will call me "sister" with the greatest respect and this is a reflection of identifying me as one who is devoted to God. I realize that when I wear these garments I must "Walk worthy of the vocation that I am called to (paraphrase Eph 4:1-2).
See you on the other side Lorna.
These are some of my favorite outfits and I own many. When I wear a House of ilona outfit I don't have to worry - they are always appropriate for any occasion.
Here is what she wrote on our Facebook Page back in 2017 and I KNOW she would have contributed to this First Edition of Ordained, so here's her contribution included: -
