COVID-19: Update from Camden Council In Camden, we look out for each other. I’m so pleased to see people in Camden continuing to help keep each other safe by following public health advice. Simple actions, like taking a rapid test before you go to work or to meet others, can make a big difference in stopping the transmission of COVID-19.

Where to get your COVID-19 vaccinations in Camden It’s quick and easy to get your COVID-19 vaccinations at a walk-in clinic. First and second doses are available to everyone aged 12+ and boosters are available to everyone aged 16+ from three months after a second dose. There’s no need to make an appointment – just turn up to the clinic. You can also pre-book via the NHS website if you prefer at nhs.uk/coronavirus or by calling 119. The walk-in clinic at Bidborough House, 38-50 Bidborough Street, WC1H 9BT is open 7 days a week, 9am to 6.30pm. You can also visit Camden’s COVID-19 community vaccine bus, 11am to 4pm, on the following days: • Thursday 17 and Friday 18 February, Queen’s Crescent Community Association car park (access via Ashdown Crescent), NW5 4QE • Saturday 19 and Saturday 26 February, Swiss Cottage Market, Eton Avenue, NW3 3EU • Thursday 24 and Friday 25 February, 208 Webheath (opposite Kingsgate Resource Centre) Palmerston Rd, NW6 2JU

If you or someone you know has not had their COVID-19 vaccine or booster yet, or if you still have questions, it’s easy to pop by or book to visit one of our walk-in locations across the borough. You may have seen our community vaccine bus around Camden. This is a free service that brings vaccinations and boosters right to the heart of our communities, making it more convenient for you, with staff on hand to answer any questions you have. Book to visit at 020 974 4444 (option 9) or turn up at any of the locations below. Finally, as we come to the end of half-term, I know many families will still be struggling with the ongoing impact of COVID-19. We’re here to help. Access support in Camden Food vouchers for families

If you receive Housing Benefit or Council Tax Support and have dependent children up to the age of 18, or if your child attends a Camden school and receives free school meals, you will shortly receive a letter from Camden Council about government-funded supermarket vouchers to support families in need. If the letter doesn’t arrive, or if you need any other support, please call 020 7974 4444 (option 9).

Money worries? Apply for Camden’s Household Support Fund

If you’re struggling with money, you may be eligible for a £150 payment to help pay for essentials, like heating bills and groceries. To apply, contact one of the organisations in the Camden Advice Network by 24 March – see details at camden.gov.uk/householdsupportfund or you can also contact Camden Council on 020 7974 4444 (option 9).

Grant support for businesses

If you run a hospitality or leisure business that was impacted by the restrictions brought in to tackle the COVID-19 Omicron variant, there’s still time to apply for a one-off grant of up to £6,000. Applications close 28 February. Find out more and apply at camden.gov.uk/grants

Apply for the Camden Future High Streets Crowdfund

Vaccine update for 5 to 11-year-olds The NHS is offering COVID-19 vaccinations to clinically vulnerable 5 to 11-year-olds or children who live with someone with an underlying condition that puts them at higher risk from COVID-19. Parents and guardians will be contacted directly by the NHS, their GP or hospital specialist to book an appointment.

Camden’s high streets are at the heart of our borough, but COVID-19 has hit local businesses hard. If you have a project or idea to bring people back to our high streets or that encourages sustainability, Camden Council wants to hear from you. As well as gaining local TS interest and backing for your project, you could EE HIGH STR receive funding from the Council to help get the project off the ground.
