How to get support for your COVID-19 recovery Recovery from COVID-19 is different for every person. If symptoms such as a shortness of breath, extreme tiredness, chest or joint pain, difficulties sleeping and/or concentrating persist for four weeks or more after you tested positive, you might have what’s called long COVID. There are a few things you can do to manage your symptoms, including: • Planning activities for the times of day you feel best • Taking frequent rest breaks • Doing gentle stretches and exercises to build back strength • Experimenting with different relaxation techniques to help you breathe and sleep better If you’re worried about long-lasting symptoms, contact your GP. As we move into spring, I know more people will be out and about in Camden, whether it’s in our parks, high streets, or elsewhere. While it is brilliant to be able to make the most of our wonderful borough, please also remember that COVID-19 is still here. The best protection against the virus remains the vaccine.
