As more people get out and about in Camden, a simple thing we can all do to keep safe is to make regular rapid testing part of our weekly routine. Rapid tests are for people without symptoms, and help make sure that we’re not spreading COVID-19 without realising it. So, whether you’re heading out to an event, to work or to meet friends, take a test beforehand to check you’re COVID-free. You can pick up free home test kits from local pharmacies, order kits online or visit a local test site to take a test in person. Find out more at camden.gov.uk/rapidtest Councillor Georgia Gould, Leader of Camden Council

Wear a face covering and help everyone stay safe Coronavirus cases remain high, so please keep wearing a face covering (unless you’re exempt) when out in Camden. This includes on public transport and when in indoor or busy outdoor public spaces. Continuing to wear a face covering correctly, so it covers both your nose and mouth, helps us to protect each other and helps everyone feel safe.

Mental health support in Camden Many people are feeling anxious at the moment, so if you’re worried about your mental health, or that of someone you know, please know that free support is available, including: • iCope offers confidential help if you’d like to speak to someone about problems including stress, anxiety, depression or insomnia. A group of young Camden residents had a conversation with a local GP about issues including: vaccine ingredients, how the vaccine does not affect fertility, how the vaccine was developed so quickly, race – including how Black, Asian and other ethnic communities have been disproportionately affected by COVID-19 – and where to find trusted information.

Urgent healthcare services The emergency departments at the Royal Free Hospital, UCLH (University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) and Whittington Hospital are all very busy. They are doing everything they can to treat patients as quickly as possible, prioritising patients with the most clinical need. Some patients are waiting a long time.
